ABC's "Lost" Discussion (2004-2010)

Tonight's episode about Miles should be quite interesting. I'm still hoping we get a little "Rush Hour" joke in the episode though. Something along the lines of, "Is there a problem Miles?" "No problem, just...rush hour, bang, bang!"

I honestly don't think Juliette knows as much as people assume she does. She was hired by the Others to try to solve the pregnancy issue. Then Ben more or less kept her prisoner on the island for 3 years. Now obviously after spending 3 years there she would pick up on things, but that doesn't mean she knows the deep dark secrets about everything island related.

For instance, she probably knows that the Others take orders from some guy she's never seen named Jacob, but that doesn't mean she has any idea about his supernatural nature. Likewise, she caught on that Richard has been there for a very long time, but that doesn't mean she knows why or how. And let's not forget that her entire 3 year stay in Otherton was under the watchful eyes of Ben Linus. There's no way of telling how much truth she ever learned.

I know what your saying, I just get that calm cold Others vibe from her that, no one else seems to have out of all the O6+, thats why I feel shes holding back, ethan had that vibe too, and RA has it down pat

I'm a bit disappointed with all this back-history on Ethan. While I love learning and visiting moments on the island's past (I've been waiting for these scenes for YEARS), I feel that all knowledge of Ethan is a waste because he was already killed off on the show. But it raises a good question, we know that Ben send Goodwin to the tailies and knew what might happen - why did he send Ethan, a lifelong friend from Dharmaville and Othertown surgeon? Was it because Ben smuggled Ethan out of Dharmaville just as he did Alex and the island finally got to him via Charlie?

I'm also hoping for a Miles episode, but atm I'm too fixed on everyone in Ben and Locke's timeline! I want to learn more about Miles and his abilities. But the question from last week has been going in circles - "What lies in the shadow of the statue."

The final three seasons, 4 through 6, will total 48 episodes. That comes out to 14 last year (because of the strike) and 17 this year and next.

that is a good question, still could be explained, could it be that only the audience is to think Ethans special and Ben/others don't think of him that way, OR Ben sent Ethan because of his doctor expierence OR he could just be the goto guy as far as get his hands dirty ....I think its his doctor expierence so he could save survivers they need or to take care of claire

I'm thinking that too. We discovered that CW is taking care of Faraday and it hasn't been discussed that much since that episode. Perhaps CW had Daniel after leaving the island? Crazy that CW would send his only son and heir to his company on a crazy mission to the island with a bunch of mercenaries.

That would make Daniel younger than even Alex. I know the show uses time travel, but it's not like characters are getting zipped all over time constantly. Daniel would have been born long before CW was banished. And besides, we still don't know why or when Elloise left the island.

Just looking at the review for season 4 and it brought back some memories. For one, this is one DEPRESSING season. I think that's why I love season 5 so much. Season 4, with all of its flash forwards of the unfortunate Oceanic 6 being knee-deep in crap all the time and the mercenary team basically killing some of the supporting characters.. it just felt like the "end," y'know? Season 5 on the other hand is constantly reminding me that season 4 was anything but the end.

Besides, the name of the ep is follow the leader. That makes WAY more sense to be Alpert.

Yeah because he follows whatever leader there is for the Others as their trusted adviser.
