I think it’s easily the worst song out of the movie and have no clue how it’s become such a hit. Like it’s a song primarily about how shit the family is, at least the opening song and the one about the woman lifting too much stuff are fun and upbeat.

Whether you like the title The Road Warrior or not (I certainly don't care for it), you immediately knew what movie they were talking about. That's all that matters.

I dont recall it being a comic prior.

But like Terminator, Alien, Predator, they have been honorary comic book brands....later on.

I think Hancock was made as a direct response to the CBM era. Like the Heroes TV show.

Robocop might be an indirect response to what was going on the late 70's/early 80's when comics were evolving.
And Hollywood paid more attention.

Darkman is an original movie not based on any comic. It's still considered a superhero movie. Do RoboCop's abilities and heroism not make him a superhero?
