Robocop is a superhero movie at its core. It's also a scathing satire. A visceral action film. A poignant character study.

Robocop is one of the best films ever made.

One of the best films ever made? Check.
A scathing satire? Check.
A superhero movie? Opinions vary.

I heard it was gonna end with guys in rocket packs chasing down the Creature and ScarJo when Dr Jekyll comes in and saves them..........

I would pay good money to see that.

Not even by a longshot. That would be like saying Straight Talk is in the top ten all-time greatest movies of all time. You may have just won this thread. And hear I thought I was going to win it.

Look who you are talking to, bub! The movie is not in my top 10, but it's still highly regarded by me. And much better than Robocop.

I guess my point is this--- I'm pretty sure many people give ROBOCOP a 5 star rating...

I'm pretty sure nobody would give STRAIGHT TALK a 5 star rating... maybe an obsessed Dolly Parton fan...

Avengers: Age of Ultron is the best Avengers movie (despite the completely useless Thor subplot), followed by Avengers: Endgame.

I could support that.

The Avengers just has the initial charm of coming together, Loki as a great villain, and the Iron Man sacrifice that makes it special.

Ultron had the cool Hulkbuster fight....the Vision (too short) origin, the faceless Ultron stormtrooper battle in Sakovia, the "evil" side of Tony Stark revelation, and the Hawkeye anointment of Wanda to the team, which is one my favorites of the team development. James Spader is almost as good as Loki.

Infinity War and Endgame are "beyond" Avengers films...IMO.

Again, look who you're talking to. I would give Straight Talk a 5-star rating or close to it whereas I would give Robocop a 3-star rating. And I am not an obsessed Parton fan. I only own two Parton movies and one album. And I haven't even heard that one album yet. I am just one of those people that tends to like, or rather love, ALL the things most people can't stand. I'm that one person who always goes to bat for that one record in an artist's catalog that is so hated that it isn't funny. I don't know why, but I have always been that way. My March is way different than everybody else's. You should see my April.

RoboCop is perfect and amazing and anyone who doesn’t think it’s one of the bests films ever, really can’t handle some straight talk.

I can handle it. I just believe it. Robocop is about as good as Hannah Montana the Movie. Ok. Robocop might be slightly better. SLIGHTLY.

Ooh, I've not seen the Hannah Montanna movie.
If you're telling me that it has some poignant things to say about the dangers of the privatisation of public services and corporate greed akin to RC then I'll certainly buy that for a dollar. If you're suggesting however that it's assumed mindless Disneyfied pap is equivalent to carefully structured social commentary then I'd suggest that maybe you either have no idea what you're talking about or are just trolling again??
Please let us know that you're not just trolling, because if not this Hannah thing sounds great!

Yeah - never could get into Robocop myself. The whole anti-privatization/anti-corporate "thing" had been done a zillion times already and everyone gets it. The special effects have held up about about as good as an old Japanese Godzilla movie at best. It just doesnt work for me.
