Hmmmmmmm how about Out of Bounds starring Anthony Michael Hall yes I know it's owned by Sony, but that doesn't mean Fun City can't try to put it out at some point if they get a Sony deal.
Also Light of Day starring Michael J. Fox Ladies and Gentlemen the Fabulous Stains This movie fits in perfectly with this label like incredibly well. Nope the imprint region free Blu-Ray doesn't count. Stuck on a US DVD as we haven't gotten a US Blu-Ray of this yet which sucks. Gas 1981 a film that is somehow still stuck on VHS it is a 80s satirical Canadian comedy about the 1979 energy crisis. This is a really dang funny movie and I'm surprised no label has put it out yet. Distant Thunder yes it has an imprint Blu-Ray, but it deserves a US and Canada release Last edited by Watershipdownisgood; 02-24-2025 at 11:00 PM. |

Got my delivery for Welcome to Fun City today. Opon first glance the packaging is really amazing. Can't wait to check it out this weekend, after all the high praise this release has received.

'Falling in Love' is an odd release, fairly milquetoast romantic comedy. It occasionally pops up on Criterion Channel, which is where I streamed it. Aside from DeNiro and Streep, and it being directed by Ulu Grosbard (Straight Time, True Confessions), there isn't much interesting about it. I wonder if this was part of a larger rights deal with Paramount that FCE had to get access to more interesting titles.

I'm just happy that Paramount is still open to licensing after their sale/merger. New leadership usually brings changes and they're not all positive.

However, you can still occasionally find used copies of the 2016 US Twilight Time disc. Another option is Radiance, which used the FCE transfer for their UK disc, if you're capable of playing Region B locked Blu-rays. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Cutte...Blu-ray/68793/ https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Cutte...lu-ray/332962/ |

I received my copy of "Welcome to Fun City" yesterday. Finished disc 1 and I'm really enjoying it so far.
Lifeguard I really enjoyed. Only really seen Sam Elliot in westerns (yes, Roadhouse is a contemporary western) so it was great to see him in a rebellious, coming of age film. Smile, I had preordered and was excited for but found it kind of hard to get into and keep interested in...Same with Rancho Deluxe. Walking the Edge is definitely my favorite FCE release so far. I'm a sucker for a gritty revenge flick. I have Jeremy and Heavenly Bodies but haven't watched them yet. I didn't realize that they weren't under the Vinegar Syndrome partner label umbrella anymore until a few months ago. Glad they didn't go away bc i think they're releasing some great under appreciated/lesser known mainstream gems that time forgot. Looking forward to the FCE future. |

In terms of new Blu-Ray re-releases I would really like to see Some Kind of Hero, and King of the Gypsies come from this label too. Plus new to Blu-Ray releases of That was Then This is Now, and The River Rat jeez there’s a number of Paramount titles from the 70s, and 80s still missing on Blu-Ray whether in the US, or in general. |

Makes me wonder how many of those trailers on "Welcome to Fun City" are getting released down the pipe line 🤔 I know "Falling in love" is coming but what else??

Just found out the director of Racing with the Moon directed one of the worst comedy films ever made that being Marci X, and also Milk Money I guess. I just don't understand how a person goes from directing underrated films like Mermaids, The Pentagon Wars, Racing With the Moon, The Money Pit, Made in America, City Heat, My Stepmother is an Alien, and My Favorite Year to garbage like Marci X, and The Shrink is in. That being said, I'm looking forward to watching Racing With the Moon again tonight on Blu-Ray as it's very underrated.
Seriously though do not watch Marci X it is very awful, and super unfunny it deserves to be forgotten about, and for a good reason. |

Breaking Glass looks solid and another winner for FCE. Didn't know Pris fronted a punk band off world.
