Also food shipments were allowed in, that's how the Special Forces team managed to get into the city so who's to say Bruce didn't get in the same way? |

Also related to the stock exchange, Lucius mentions the fact that long term they will be able to prove fraud but for the time being he is broke.
There aren't too many obvious plot holes if you actually pay attention to the movie and think about it, this is no Prometheus. |

It's a crap movie, so maybe I don't remember. Which scenes is it, so I can check it out? Or is there a version that doesn't do this? After the review, I'm looking forward to the eye-candy in TDKR blu! |

Bruce getting back to gotham that isnt a plot hole. A plot hole is when the films logic breaks down to such a degree that the film can not continue. Not explaining something like bruce getting back isnt a plot hole. Bruce got back because he is the godamn batman and as bruce wayne he has world wide resources and connections. Now would you rather have the momentum the film has built in the last act come to a screeching halt to show bruce's journey back to gotham or would you rather the film maintain its momentum and pace. Personally id rather the film not come to a halt to state the obvious for those who cant use their imagination to figure out the obvious. We know bruce will get back to gotham, we know he has world wide contacts and resources through his name and company, and we know he is the batman.

The Big Screen Edition of ROTF has 8-9 min. of IMAX scenes left intact, but it's only available at Wal-Mart. If you didn't get it at Wal-Mart, there's your answer to why you didn't have your screen get filled up...

Wal-Mart doesn't exist in this part of the globe. They wanted to buy out Coles-Myer, but the British company Wesfarmers beat them too it! |

Here's a review of the Big Screen Edition of ROTF, so you can see pics of the IMAX shots: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Trans...-Blu-ray/7747/ Update: It's for sale on Amazon now, not just Wal-Mart anymore. If you want, you could get it imported, but, then again, you said it's a crap movie, so you're more than likely not interested... Last edited by killermike2178; 11-20-2012 at 10:33 PM. |

But you only have to view Batman Begins or The Prestige or Inception for evidence that Nolan (and Wally Pfister) dig that smooth, velvety look of anamorphic finished on film, and they want to preserve it at all stages of the chain. Even the video transfer comes from a timed positive element instead of scanning the neg and timing it digitally. (But, ironically enough, the IMAX stuff comes from an 8K scan to begin with, because it's easier to deal with such a large format in the digital domain.) TDKR is no different, although given the massive discrepancy in detail between the 35mm and 15/70 sections and the failure of the IMAX DMR method to bridge that gap last time out (i.e. lots of EE), perhaps this would've been the right time for Nolan and Pfister to have done a 4K DI on the anamorphic footage. Ah, well. At least there are no freakin' forcefields on TDKR. Last edited by Geoff D; 11-20-2012 at 10:15 PM. |

It also has an extended forest battle which is awesome. I got my Walmart IMAX Edition from a third party seller on Amazon. Also, to whoever asked what scenes are in IMAX in TDKR...I don't know exactly but there is A LOT. The movie is constantly going from black bars to full screen and then back. Maybe around half the movie is in IMAX I'm guessing. I do know most of the good stuff is in IMAX. |

Analog 35mm printed straight from the negative can look fantastically detailed and sharp though (I saw a fancy print of Magnolia some time ago that had an almost 70mm quality to it, miles ahead of any blu-ray i've ever seen). I feel like the scanner optics and the subsequent downscaling/compression to 1080p effectively add the equivalent of a film printing generation or two, so scanning the negative gives you something that looks like a really nice 2nd gen print, and scanning the IP ends up looking more like your run-of-the-mill 4th generation material... which is not ideal IMO.
