Line below for a full stream of Will Haven's new album. Great band, quite underrated.

Wait... hold on a minute!

You sure that’s not just an unreleased Maiden track from Number of the Beast or Piece of Mind?

Cool song. Gave me a nice 80’s flashback.

Yeah, the Maiden worship is obvious & it's cool to see bands carrying the old school torch with some quality releases. A lot of these newer retro & clone bands don't really do much for me, but every once in awhile one of them will get my attention. Monument's first album, Renegades, is decent, not great, but the follow-up, Hair of the Dog, really got my attention. Imo, HotD is a killer album & it's definitely a step up in songwriting & execution from Renegades. The additions of drummer Giovanni Durst & bassist Dan Bate really helped out with upping the quality on that album. Better production on HotD too. It's going to be difficult for them to top HotD imo, & if it's not up to par with that album, hopefully Hellhound is at least better than Renegades.

Maiden knockoff with Lizzy Borden style vocals. Not bad.

For sure.
Thanks for the heads up about this band.
I ordered Hair of the Dog and preordered Hellhound.
Love this style of music. Reminds me of when I first really got into playing guitar with stuff like Maiden & Priest. Great rhythms.

You're welcome Ray, & yeah, Hair of the Dog should be right up your alley, awesome album. \,,/_(-,-)_\,,/ Just in case you're not aware, there will be a jewel case & a digipack version of Hellhound. The digipack has 3 bonus tracks not on the jewel case version; Long Live Rock 'n' Roll (Rainbow cover), Deja Vu (Maiden cover) & Creatures of the Night. CotN is not listed as a KISS cover, but we'll see.

Also, vocalist Peter Ellis is owner/Master Craftsman at Leather Rebels, the company that produces the Championship Title Belts for WWE, NIKE, Lip Sync Battle UK, NWA, PROGRESS, WCPW, etc...

I ordered the Digipack version of Hellhound. Almost pulled the trigger on the collectors set with the vinyl, but I think the digi is enough.
Yeah, the singer wears some bad-a$$ lookin’ leather jackets in some of the videos I watched. I also saw several of the playthroughs they have on YouTube.
These guys are just old school jammers. I used to play on a Les Paul that was black with white trim exactly like the one the dude on the right plays. Damn thing turns you into an instant rock star, it sounds so good.

I watched the playthroughs too, yep, just old school jammers they are. Pretty tasteful playing too. Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy & Jack Daniels! Yeah, that Les Paul is sweet! Even though they sound like Maiden, I think that drummer Giovanni Durst helps with giving them their own identity. He knows his stuff too. I watched a vid of him breaking down Omicida's Disobey drum intro, he seems to know theory. Hold on a sec...here it is:

Very cool album. Seen them a number of times & got an Alex Nelson guitar pic & a Joey Scott Harges drumstick. The drumstick is like a mini baseball bat! Haha... \,,/_(-,-)_\,,/

Yes! Durst is a ripper. Love those drum fills. Rockin’ song.
Thanks for sharing that.

I was just crankin’ some Decapitated-Winds of Creation an hour ago.
Really dig it. I pretty much don’t care about or wanna know what the singer is saying, I just listen for the shredding guitars, masterful drumming, and constant tempo changes. Keeps you on your toes.

Decapitated's lyrics are an amusing result of what happens when you mix some rather incisive sociological and philosophical insights with extremely poor knowledge of how the English language works. They're about as far away as possible from the typical gory "brutal" lyrics that I'm assuming you'd expect.

Haha! I’ve glanced at ‘em a few times and never felt like they were worth the effort to try to remember any of them. Can’t be distracted from listening to Vogg rip it up.
I do know a lot of Cannibal Corpse lyrics. They’re just too brutal and entertaining to pass up.

Why am I not surprised there is a "metal music' thread on a blu ray forum board and how the **** did I get here ??? Very Nice indeed !!! I fear I will be checking this thread more often than the movie threads... My afternoon's listening party at work included; Enslaved - In Times, My Dying Bride - Turn Loose the Swans, Novembre - Ursa, Blut Aus Nord 777-Cosmosophy, and a double shot of Triptykon's - Melana Chasmata and Eparistara Daimones... It was a good day !!

Megadeth Remastered ‘Killing Is My Business…and Business Is Good’ for Vinyl and CD Release

On June 8, 2018, Century Media will unleash the long-promised newly-remastered Megadeth album Killing Is My Business…and Business Is Good on both CD and vinyl.

Killing Is My Business…and Business Is Good – The Final Kill has been completely restored to Dave Mustaine’s intended vision. Remixed by veteran metal mixer, Mark Lewis (Whitechapel) and remastered by Ted Jensen for an optimal listening experience, the 2018 version reveals unheard parts and performances throughout the record. This rare gem includes the full album, along with 7 live audio tracks from VHS tapes found in Dave Mustaine’s own attic! In addition to the bonus live tracks, the 2018 re-issue also features Megadeth’s 1984 3-track demo and the once removed cover of Lee Hazelwood’s, “The Boots” that has been added back to the record with recut vocals intended to maintain the integrity of both the original song and Megadeth’s own snarling rendition.

“I am just as much amazed at the music we made as I am at the pure fact that we survived it all!” – Dave Mustaine

The package is further enhanced by a new album cover featuring a fully executed sculpture of the iconic skull that has been lost over the many years since the album’s initial release. The packaging also includes classic flyers and band photos pulled from their archive of timeless metal moments from Megadeth’s storied 35-year history. The Final Kill is the complete vision of main man, Dave Mustaine, who has contributed liner notes delving into the struggles during that time period as well as some of the surprising moments during the remixing sessions.

Is this new mix actually going to have Gar Samuelson's original drums or a digitally replaced facsimile of drums like the first attempt?
