This X1000. I think this content drought is a design choice, as it will be long enough for people to get over paying TTK's price and will have built up a hunger for new content like never before.

The only thing that really irks me is how the make gear/weapons completely obsolete with every expansion. It took me AGES to get a complete VOG raid set for my hunter, and that gear now is 120. That's the stuff that really bothers me, they aren't respecting the time people put into building their guardians.

Not to mention that the VOG armor is the best looking one.

It took me forever to get full set of all the raids, iron banner and TOO and it was all gone in one instance, very infuriating. In a way it's good because it led me to care less when Taken King came out and I haven't played Destiny in about 2 months. The only thing I miss is playing with all my friends but my wife is definitely happier

Eh, doubt they'd actually do that. That's what people have wanted for a while and they (Bungie) have said they would rather spend time making new content instead of going back to old content.

That's the nature of the game since it's framed to be MMO-ish. It's always going to be like that. I for one like getting new weapons and having my old weapons be obsolete in end-game content. Keeps it fresh rather than me still using Fatebringer from last year.

I turned in the 4 Devlan fusion rifles to the gunsmith. Shouldn't that have triggered a firewall mission to start the sleeper simulant quest or am i missing something?

You have to wait until the 7th of the month. That's the only day that First Firewall shows up. So, March 7th is your next shot.

Lol. Yeah, it was part of the whole "mystery" of finding it. First the 4 Dvalin relics. Then the First Firewall only on the 7th (Bungie Day) of the month. After that, it's easy.

Bungie have hired the lead writer from mass effect and the 343 halo games. Maybe they're taking the story seriously now?

Thing is, they've always taken story seriously, just with all the behind the scenes stuff that happened the year before the game launched they had to chop up the game to bits. So the "story" got kinda butchered into what we ended up with.

You can tell they care about story based on everything that's in the Grimoire.

Ok I should rephrase that. I meant as in in-game story like we get in most games, the least they could have done was add a library in the tower to actually read the cards in game. It feels more like I'm reading a novel to know what is going on when it should be explained through dialog and cutscenes in game, as it is it really feels like two totally separate things.

Do any of you guys still do normal KF raids? I'm a 290-ish hunter that's never done the raid and am looking to work the quest called The Old Hunger that requires collecting the Blade of Famine, Shroud of Ir Anuk, and Ravenous Heart to form the ritual. Are these attainable in one shot or do they require multiple RNG runs?

I guess I would hit 2 birds with 1 stone, as another quest called The Road to Kings Fall requires killing the Warpriest,Golgoroth, and Oryx.

Is 290 LL too low to attempt this and if not are any raid vets willing to do a normal run possibly tonight? If so, please shoot me a friend request.

I'm central US time, and I could be on anywhere from 5 or so to about 11pm. Whatever would work for the group would be fine. Do you think 290 is OK to squeeze by with? Also, thanks for the reply
