FCE's packaging is always a great mix of subtle details and high quality. Really appreciate the effort they put into every release, even if I'm not crazy about the film.

Has anyone purchased directly from Fun City Editions website? How was the experience? There is something I want to get that I have a choice of getting it from either Fun City Editions or Diabolik. What are the differences?

I've purchased from both FCE and Diabolik. Both are good, and both package the discs in a sturdy box.

Yes, they are great to order from. The same as Diabolik, etc. They ship wrapped in a box It might ship faster through FCE than Diabolik but otherwise~you should be fine with either

Wondering if we will start to see ship notices for Breaking Glass anytime now. It looks like Grindhouse has the non slip version in stock on their site:

Mine shipped today too very excited to watch the UK cut for the very first time ever. Hopefully The Fabulous Stains goes up for pre-order soon along with Fun City's next title they plan on releasing next.

Well it looks like Orbit has closed their preorder, so they should be getting theirs in any day now. Maybe it will be similar with Diabolik and you will get that ship notice soon

Just got around to checking out Lifeguard on this hot summer day. Sam Elliott is beyond charming and magnetic. I was grinning the whole time. Fun and reflective movie. Another great selection by Fun City. Probably my second favorite release of theirs behind Heavenly Bodies.

Very excited to preorder Fabulous Stains soon.

I hope to order another FCE title directly soon (out of the ones I want to get, at the top of that want list is Baby It's You). Their international shipping rate seems reasonable to me.

I wrestled with getting the FCE of Baby, It's You, because I'd just recently fished my Olive copy out of storage, and a quick revisit of the first ten minutes left me with the thought that the earlier disc was perfectly watchable for a film I was more casually appreciative of, rather than an ardent fan.

The problem was that it was priced such that it made for a better deal in a recent Target sale, compared to other things I was a little more eager to see.

So BIY made the cut and now that I've seen the same opening ten minutes off the new disc, I gotta say I'm happy I went the way I did. Not a night and day difference from the Olive, but a nice bump up in regards to the image. I did have to crank the volume up a few dbs beyond the highest I ever have it because the dialogue seemed to be mixed pretty low. Fortunately it's not an action flick so the dialogue doesn't have to jockey with loud music and effect pops every five minutes.

I'm not usually someone who dives into all the extras on these things. This is one case where I am curious to see how all the creatives involved assess things forty years on. I'll save that for after the full rewatch, but I'm looking forward to fully devouring this soon.

All in all, another great, fully worthwhile FCE release.

FCE posted on Bluesky that they don’t have any updates on preorders for Fabulous Stains, but shared photos from “Goodbye, Columbus” and state that they will be releasing that later this year.
