What is it with Play.com and charging cheeky amounts of money for anything related to Prometheus? Must know that a lot of people want to own it, and will pay a bit more than they usually would for the pleasure.

On the embossing/debossing debate, I would love the steel to be either of those - for £23, it should be detailed in gold, in my opinion!

Is anyone doing a group order? Because I would love to get my hands on this Steelbook, but I don't have a credit card and Play doesn't accept Paypal. Such a shame

Use a Pre-Paid credit-card.
I am also using a Pre-Paid creditcard. It is very easy:

- Create an account.
- Buy a Pre-Paid credit-card / Pre-Paid credit-card voucher.
- You have 2 options: receive an actual Pre-Paid credit-card (f.e. Visa Pre-Paid credit-card) - or option 2: buy a Pre-Paid credit-card voucher.

If you choose option 1: they'll send you the actual card. This contains everything a real credit-card has, but it is Pre-Paid. So if you want to use it, you have to put money on your credit-card (via online banking). Every time you put money on your card, you'll be charged 2 euros. For example: if you want to put 100 euros on your Pre-Paid credit-card, they'll charge 102 euros.

Option 2: buy a Pre-Paid credit-card voucher. You won't receive the actual card. You'll receive all information required to purchase online via e-mail (Visa Pre-Paid credit-card). For example: if you want to purchase
3 steelbooks, total cost: 50 euros - Buy a Pre-Paid credit-card voucher of 50 euros. It will cost you 53,50 euros.

The actual card is valid for 3 or 4 yours.
Vouchers are valid for 1 year.

I have the actual card. It is cheaper, easier and valid for a longer period. You can also use it in physical stores or at the ATM.

Everyone can buy a Pre-Paid credit-card. It is not a loan, you're using your own money.

why would you buy a pre paid credit card when your bank can just give you a debit card which is linked directly to your bank account? that is, unless you are black listed from all banks in your country and are not allowed to open a bank account, therefore cannot be given a debit card

maybe its different in the netherlands but it just seems weird to me to use a pre paid credit card.......

1. Some people don't trust their bank info on online websites other than Paypal as it has a strong reputation for security and purchaser guarantees/protection.

2. Not sure if Play.com accept debit transactions as I've never been able to place a transaction with them directly. So, paying via bank account might not be an option.

I used a debit card from the very beginning with them. I think it's if your outside the EU they don't accept any of your details even i suppose if your paying for it to be delivered to an EU address.

Not entirely sure on that though, but there was that one guy who implied he paid from outside the EU, sent it to an inside EU address where it would then be forwarded to him outside the EU. Never ever did see if he responded to say whether that was the case though

If you use a real credit card, you'll be using money that isn't yours. So you have to pay it back + interest. And the temptation to spend more will be much higher.
If you use a Pre-Paid credit card, you don't have to worry about paying it back or paying more, or even with interest if you forget to pay in time. And you'll be spending less. And I am a student, I don't really need a real credit card.

I will need it next year though (internship), but I'll try to link it to my normal bank-account (if that is possible, I don't know if that works here).

Then get a debit card... Don't understand why the Netherlands would be the only country in the world that doesn't offer this basic way of paying without cash.

No it doesn't work.

I don't have the 3 digits code and there is no issue number on my card.
And it says that my bank-account number is not valid.

I just pre-ordered it. The normal amaray 2D release in the Benelux will only be €6 cheaper, so I figured what the heck.

Will the UK and US have the same amount of extras (second screen excluded)

they are listed differently. I tried to connect them together, but they also have a different name.
I could count the minutes, but that would be just sad

UK

US

I think it is going to depend on the version you get, wouldn't be surprised if the bonus disc is only included with the 3D version.

Do you think there is any chance of this short film being included on the Blu-Ray? I know it has nothing to do with Prometheus, but with the people involved and it being a Sci-Fi short film, I think it would be the perfect platform to place it so that more people see it.

I don't know. If the blu-ray's are already produced, I don't think so (they would have no reason to?).

But if the discs yet have to be produced, they might include it.

Will this release contain the Theatrical Version and the supposed Extended Version with an additional 20 minutes of footage?

I know that there will be 30+ minutes of Deleted/Alternate scenes in the Special Features section, but I'm pretty sure Ridley Scott announced a couple of months ago that there would be a longer version of the film for the blu-ray release. Whether or not it will the Director's Cut is still left unclear.
