So I pre-ordered both 1. The Amazing Spider-Man 3D Blu-ray and 2. The Amazing Spider-Man 3D Blu-ray Limited Edition w/ Figurines

2 days ago I notice that the prices of both of those items went down, but it still shows on my order that I will be charged the higher price. I was thinking it might take up to a day for this to get fixed. Yesterday at 10 pm it still has not been fixed. So I go to the contact page on Amazon and send Amazon and email about 1. The Amazing Spider-Man 3D Blu-ray and I do the same for 2. The Amazing Spider-Man 3D Blu-ray Limited Edition w/ Figurines

Today I get emails back from Amazon. One of the emails says this.

"Hello,

Thanks for contacting us about the recent price change on The Amazing
Spider-Man. I recognize you have a choice of retailers and appreciate that you
prefer to order from us. Unfortunately, we do not have a post-order price
guarantee.

Under the circumstances, I've reduced the price of the item to the
currently-listed price of $38.99. This is what you will be charged for the item
when your order ships."

For the most part the other email said the same thing. Okay now I am happy that they fixed the price and gave me the lower price. But I don't understand what the emails mean? What do they mean about post-order price guarantee? These are pre-orders not post orders. When I sent Amazon emails I just showed them my orders (they are pre-orders) and told them that the price of these items when down and that it was still showing that I will be charged for the higher price and that the price had not been fixed for my orders. That was all I said in both of my emails so I was very confused when Amazon responded to me.
I can't really comment on the email that Amazon sent you. I can say that I oredered the same figurine set, initially, at $67.19...it's now at $66.19, and I'm quite sure it's going to drop again. Basically don't worry if your order history doesn't reflect the change, even after a couple weeks. Amazon WILL charge you the lowest price between the time you preordered all the way THROUGH release day.
I think the term "post order" is a mix up on their part. I would just ignore it, for now, then revisit around the beginning of October and see what your order history shows.
Keep in mind that you can cancel, pretty much, anytime up until a day or two before release!

Sometimes Amazon.com is good about automatically changing prices when it decreases & then sometimes they can be anal about it, dealing with their foreign customer service isn't always the easiest either.

Amazon.com customer service tried to give me grief about my order of Battleship, it had dropped in price before its release date but they didn't automatically give me the discounted price & now 1 day later & my order still hasn't even shipped yet or is still in the shipping soon stage but they still charged my debit card the higher price. They took my money & say they are no longer obligated to offer the pre-order price guarantee on my order because the release date is now over & to think that they didn't take any money out until after the order had officially been shipped.

I've never had that happen with Amazon.com!
If anything in a day, or two, they will credit your card the difference. What you are saying is Amazon is going against its own preorder policy, which doesn't make much sense?

watched it at a local IMAX and this got to be one of the best 3D uses with amazing, gut vomiting uses of 3D especially in all the CG generated scenes with Spidey flying aound.

the live action scenes were a mixed bag where I saw many many scens where the 3D keeps oscillating between good to none in the same scene. It was a bit disturbing to see this but the good parts of 3D were so good that its a definite buy for me at a good price.

i really hope the movie on the 3D bluray is the IMAX screen version. But it sounds like its not because it seem like the 2D and 3D version is on one disc and then a seperated disc for special features

but its weird i do not see those special features listed:
Deleted Scenes and Alternate Takes
Audio Commentaries with Cast and Crew
Screen Tests
Emma Stone's Top 10 Make-Up Secrets
Teenage Love - Peter Parker's Many Relationships
Spider-Love - From Comic book to Screenplay to Silverscreen
How to be a Swinger - Spider-Man's "sex appeal", attracting Twilight fans
Emma Stone's favorite hand creams - Avoiding dry Lizard skin

this is very odd
it can't be long now for us to hear something about what extras is the right thing i really hope the ezydvd.com link is the right special features

Take a look Disney (Avengers) if these special features are right Thats how you release a big blockbuster movie

Disney you Suck ASS!

Why is Target getting all the bonus disc from Marvel? Are they struggling or owned by Disney, etc?

And I hope its available for the 3D version too. And SEX SCENES between Gwen Stacy and Lizard.

I wonder what's on the Target disc.

If it's not that important, then I'll likely skip it, mostly because it's not 3D. Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 had a pretty crummy bonus disc with Best Buy, but Target's Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 documentary disc was fantastic.
I've heard mixed things about Target's Avengers disc, but I'll probably pick it up.

I do like getting an extra disc, especially if that edition had nicer packaging, but it doesn't seem like Target will have an exclusive 3D edition. If there's a 3D edition of the Target exclusive, I'll reconsider picking it up.

I hope the ASM Bonus Disc is available for both 3D and 2D, afterall, it is for Avengers.
