I have another pic of Veronica and Keith at her graduation that I'll probably use later. Since I get tired of avatars and can't keep one for a long time.

I can't think of a better father/daughter relationship in the history of television. Not only that but one of the very best child/parent relationships. Right up there with, but not quite surpassing, Lorelai and Rory.

I've been thinking. When it's time to release the film, since it's going to be a limited release, it might be a good idea for WB to get fans involved again by using the "demand it" tactic to bring it to different areas.

The Kickstarter campaign does say they hope to focus first on areas where the most donors came from, or something like that.

So probably like California and New York of course .

That ticker is moving too slow for comfort now. I know it has already gone past the minimum, but it would be cool to see it make more. At least it's going to do 4 Million. Can it maybe pass 5 Million by the time it ends? I know that seems like it would be easy to do because of it already being at 3.268 Million, but it's seriously going soooo slow now. And it has had a bit of a backlash from people. NOW, if they manage to get it opened up to international fans, it should see another nice bump.

While I understand some of the backlash with Warner Bros making money without having to really risk anything, it does not really bother me too much. We also do not know how any profits for the film will be divided so it is unknown how much the studio will end up making on this. I do not think they will start setting up a Kickstarter for every film they do or even for smaller studio films.

This one worked so well because the show has a strong and vocal following, the movie has long been rumored but it has looked like it would never happen, and at $2 million the goal was not rediculously high.

I might be wrong and the studios will see this result as an opportunity to take advantage of Kickstarter and use it for evil, but in the end it is up to people to decide how they spend their money.

I was a little annoyed the kickstarter packages were really only for US residences, but I'm kind of over it now. Now that Warner's backing it, pretty sure I'll be able to get a copy of the blu-ray easily anyway. That's all I really wanted. Looking forward to this for sure.

Apparantely there are some issues they are trying to work out so that they can offer rewards for backers outside the US.

Hopefully people will get interested, try the show, and then want to donate.

I think this movie should just serve to reintroduce the characters and where theyre at now, and then start up the tv series again!

I wish that proposal for a fourth season set years ahead with Veronica in the FBI had been successful. That would have been fun.

I met Kristen Bell at a convention when VM was in its third season. I asked her if there was going to be a 4th season and she said she sure hoped so. Sadly, it didn't happen. I'm glad she's found some success since then, but VM will always be my first love (as far as Kristen Bell is concerned, ha ha).

We said we were trying to make it happen, and now it has. Canadian fans can now pledge to the Veronica Mars movie project.

Our two options on the rewards column are "ships within U.S. only" and "ships worldwide." Neither of those options is currently accurate for us, so ignore the "U.S. only" tag and sign up, Canadians.

Please note, we are trying very hard to include additional territories. There are hoops to jump through. (It's not a shipping cost issue.) Please keep checking back, non-U.S., non-Canadian fans. Give us a few days. Know that we're trying to make it happen.
From the kickstarter page.

I would not like to be the actors come January. As of right now they are committed to sign over 3000 posters.

They'll just add a prize like a $420 donation and you get to sit with Kristen Bell and the cast for a few hours, get to know how they sign things and become celebrities for a day by signing all these posters, just like the real stars do.
