^ it's still nice to have, unique packaging can make it a more appetizing buy. I know I am more enticed by special packaging. I'm not saying I'll buy shit just if the packaging is nice, but for collectors of that type of thing it's a great bonus, no reason to be dismissive of another's interest.

Cundey-supervised transfer, check.
Now let's get the original mono audio in lossless and the TV cut (integrated into the R-rated version of the film) and Anchor Bay will have my money. I don't care if Carpenter supposedly doesn't like the TV footage or not...the scene with Loomis and a young Michael sitting there, staring out the window is incredible. Slow, methodical, silent zoom-in on Michael, staring...zoom-in on Loomis...back to Michael... "You've fooled them haven't you, Michael"? Back to Michael, back to Loomis... "But not me". Back to Michael, hold, then black...cut to 1978. Fantastic scene. I can't watch the film without that. Last edited by Croweyes1121; 06-12-2013 at 01:57 PM. |

On any rate, at least we know this is what he wants (today) and it's not like the original Blu-ray release where the color seemed more arbitrary to what the technician wanted. |

The BD and 25th Anniversary dvd are the ones without the color filters. With Cundey supervising this, I'm excited to see how the film is supposed to look and expect no less than that from him. It will probably fall in between the color scheme of the BD/25th and THX dvds. |
