Towards the bottom, for me. After rewatching them all recently, the original is the only one that I still really like. Lost World is probably my least favorite, with this one being a step or two above that.

But I got my digital code, which says in the emails I received should be a UHD / 4K code, right away. I redeemed it on the Movies Anywhere site as they indicated, but it redeemed HD only. I just noticed he mentions 4K iTunes, so I check that now. But Vudu has the movie in UHD, and it shows only HDX there too. I don't think we are getting what we've been told we will receive, quite frankly.
Had the same issue. On hold with Best Buy right now to see if I can get the UHD code.

that's what I read in quite a few places after the movie first came out (that it was the best JP movie since the original)...but it looks like time has not been kind as reviews now seem to be all fairly average

This movie would be the worst if Lost World wasn't so boring. At least Fallen Kingdom's stupidity held my attention. Lost World gets mine for the trailer/cliff sequence and that's about it. Oh, and FK has my favorite one-liner since the forever-quotable original.

Trained raptors isn't a horrible idea on its face. We do train tigers and such. It just got stupid toward the end of Jurassic World, when Pratt and the raptor are bro-nodding at each other and acting like best friends. It even goes against the opening scenes which show the raptors would love to eat him up if given the freedom to do so.

Yeah, that's the stuff I mean...and following him when he's on the motorcycle to go for the big fight.

Fallen Kingdom was a remake of The Lost Turd just like Jurassic World was a remake of the original film. And even worse, it seemed to ignore the first two movies. What about all those other islands that had dinosaurs? How come the falling out between Hammond and that old dude seemed to center around a person who wouldn't even exist for another decade and a half?

And those are just the most glaring plotholes. I could nitpick this thing to death if I cared.

EDIT: For those curious why I'd purchase the movie, it's because my kid loved it and really digs dinosaurs.

Yeah. It's a shame because I think the movie as a whole is a good sequel to Jurassic Park for the first two acts. Then it goes off the rails and becomes super stupid.

Yeah nothing about the whole Cromwell/granddaughter subplot made any sense, especially Cromwell never really deciding if his character is British or American.

But yeah, I'll end up buying the UHD as well, on steep discount. I did enjoy the action/chase scenes in a mindless kind of way.

It’s my favorite one as well after the original. I liked the big action-oriented first half and really liked the more horror/suspense-oriented second half. The direction from J.A. Bayona is probably the best too since the original, as well the cinematography imo.

I think your enjoyment of the movie will depend on how much suspension of disbelief you have for the film, though. I mean, it’s people interacting with, and trying to survive from, dinosaurs; so knowing then when going in to watch it... you need a lot of that suspension lol.

The main characters don’t get much character development but are there to drive the crazy plot and they’re still very likable imo. After Jurassic World the series is basically a live-action cartoon, which is completely fine by me but it’s obviously not for everyone given the reviews. I thought this one was quite intense and a lot of fun.

Also, it surprisingly has an interesting moral dilemma which I liked and it’s used to try to connect emotionally with the audience (and it actually has a fairly sad scene around the halfway point) but others didn’t care for it. So it’s a pretty divisive film. If you take it as just a fun summer movie and don’t expect it to be as good as the original, I think you’ll enjoy it. If you take it a step further and watch it with the mindset of it being something akin to a live-action cartoon I think you’ll enjoy it a lot lol.

I thought people were really impressed with the last 30 minutes or so where the movie felt like a scary/horror version of Jurassic Park?

I enjoyed it in IMAX 3D...but without the 3D it may not be as much fun.

The last 30 minutes very much made me want a proper Resident Evil movie that takes place in the mansion where all the dinosaurs are hanging out. Seriously, the setting and vibe was perfect. Felt weird as heck for a Jurassic Park movie, though.

Was it a great movie? No, not at all. Will I buy it on 4k? Yea, probably.

It certainly is a bad movie but enjoyable nonetheless. Kinda Alien vs Predator for me. Sometimes I wanna enjoy a bad movie.

3D for me until 4K singles for previous movies are released.

We should recut the Fallen Kingdom Auction scene with the Canto Bight Casino rampage.
