Music rights might be an issue with STAINS.
An interview with Diane Lane would be a great supplement. |

I love Radio On, it was on my 'British films still not on blu ray holy grail wishlist' so i will definitely be picking it up. It makes sense for me to pick up the BFI release though being in the UK...sorry Fun City but still a great acquisition! |

King, Queen, Knave is Sony, I think. Really wish this and Tony Richardson’s similarly period-updated Nabakov update Laughter in the Dark had official releases. The Lightship was originally CBS/Paramount, correct? I was very surprised that it actually got a DVD release in North America. Who has Ferdydurke? Regarding his early works, the Polish Film Institute made beautiful restorations of Walkover and Identification Marks: None that I was incredibly fortunate to see in 35mm at L.A.’s much-missed Cinefamily theatre. I also caught their huge Andrzej Zulawski retrospective, which also had lovingly restored prints c/o the Polish Film Institute. |

King, Queen, Knave (1972) was a West Germany production later released by Embassy Pictures in the US in 1978. StudioCanal probably doesn't have any ownership of it nowadays and is with German producer Constantin Film.
Laughter in the Dark was a Woodfall production released by United Artists and might still be with MGM. However, Woodfall has been reclaiming the ownership of some titles the original distributors haven't renewed their rights on and LITD might be one of them. As a glimmer of possible hope, Woodfall does work with the BFI and Criterion going by the recent Blus of Tom Jones and A Taste of Honey. I don't think 30 Door Key/Ferdydurke ever had a US theatrical release. That one might be with one of the Polish producers or StudioCanal (who owns the output of one of the French producers, UGC). The Lightship is CBS/Paramount. They had released it on DVD, but since they supposedly recently ceased licencing out titles (whatever remaining titles yet to be released from the prior Shout and Criterion deals might be the last), it remains off limits. |

Thank you! Laughter in the Dark is completely untouchable for whatever reason; it might have to do with rights issues involving an aborted 1986 remake, but it simply has never had any home video release. The BFI does have materials for it, including footage filmed with Richard Burton before he was fired; they even screened those bits a few years ago. |

Dawn of the Discs just mentioned that Fun City will be releasing Walking the Edge with Robert Forster. Is this old news because I never heard of this getting a release, and if not, where did Dawn get their info from?

I'm really excited about this one. I asked about it in the VS thread a while back so Fun City is just about the perfect home for it. Is this an MGM title, does anyone know? I don't think the Anchor Bay DVD was licenced from them, so it might be our first non-MGM Fun City title. |

Nope, it's not an MGM title. It was with the producer of the film.
We've also recently announced RADIO ON, which came from the BFI. Quote:

Indeed, both lost too soon, particularly Joe.
Happily, we've got Joe on two of our releases: RANCHO DELUXE and now WALKING THE EDGE. |
