RedIsNotBlue -> In case of Batman Begins "Red Is Blue" as it's a HD DVD port.

The disc contents between the LE and the regular are identical. It's merely the outer slipcase box and the geegaws that's different

I picked up Batman Begins at Blockbuster and I was pleased with it. I will say that the Dark Knight footage was VERY impressive in terms of PQ.

It was quite possibly the best Id ever seen. If the bluray of DK looks as good as this DK footage. It will truly be an amazing bluray to behold.

Man I got the limited collectors edition yesterday from blockbuster a full week before scheduled release date. And my friends it rules. The PQ and AQ are the best.

Isn't it a port of the HD-DVD version If it is, then I wouldn't call the picture and sound "the best", but I have not seen it on Blu yet.

To me it looks incredible. It definitely has Leverage to get things started.

This has turned into the "I got mine at Blockbuster a week early" thread.

On a serious note, I'm really disappointed in the gift set. WB's could have at least put the damn movie in a steelbook or some sort of collector case. Instead you get a cardboard box, some lame postcards, a lame comic book, an ok TDK screenplay, and a very corny cover insert for the box. The best thing about the collectors case is the $7.50 in movie money for TDK which in reality feels like, "I'm sorry for ripping you off", gift from WB's. The proof is in the pudding because people are actually posting pictures of the nonsense that comes with this so called collector's gift set. I'm just saying for that price tag they could've put together a better package. I highly recommend buying just the BD in a week.

I agree. I got the regular edition early at Blockbuster yesterday (thanks to this thread). I would describe the picture quality as "variable". Some of it looks great, some of it looks soft. On the other hand, the Dolby TrueHD soundtrack absolutely is stellar.

This is exactly why I couldn't understand the excitement about this. I found this at Blockbuster, and Batman Begins is one of my most anticipated discs of the year, but for the little you get, $45 bucks is way too steep just to get it a week early, and even the 33 dollars for it on Amazon seems a bit much for what you get. I thought they could have done something a little snazzier than post cards, a comic book of something that's already on the disc, and a lenticular insert. Seems like most of that stuff would get forgotten, or collect a lot of dust.

Man that's lame, I go there and it says the order is still processing. Damnit, I never get in on these week early things. Hell if they haven't shipped it yet, I wouldn't be surprised if I don't get it on release date.

You should have told them that you were only insane enough to buy it today from them at that price because it was a week early and that they had no chance in hell of selling next week because you're going to find it cheaper every where else.

I saw the gift set today at BB as well...was sorely tempted, but I can't justify spending $50 on it. I'll wait till next week and pick up the single disc version then.
