I think she would be a great choice.
Felicity Jones, Alicia Vikander, Rebecca Ferguson would also be high on my list after their performances in recent years.

If they are gonna keep her as Lady Croft, Ridley would be pretty much perfect though. Seems like the the role and timing (after SW huge box office) cast itself. She should cash in too.

She's been doing TONS of work outs for 8. She's already made some serious gains. By the time tomb raider comes around, she should look pretty great!

I just hope they don't follow the plot of the rebooted games. I enjoy them, but the most enjoyable parts were the optional tombs and discovering the history of the island through the collectibles. I'd like to see them tackle a different story with the younger Lara for the film. I don't want to see daisy cry, scream, be beaten close to death, and get covered in mud and gore for two hours.

Lol truth. While I think they'll take the grounded aspect I don't think there's enough plot in the new games for them to completely pull from. Plus let's not forget this is a video game movie so they're just going to do whatever they damn well please and just throw the brand in the title.

I hope you're right but until I see one I will continue to doubt. If Assassin's Creed is successful then I'll concede (as will Hollywood).

Seeing Macbeth, the damn film just better be gorgeous at the very least. I'm not a fan of the game series but there is sooo much potential with the cinematography they can pull out of the game.

I have no doubt that movie will look incredible. I just don't see how it couldn't.

They have the same opportunity here. Beautiful natural locations, giant ancient tombs, opportunities for some crazy character designs. Hoping they don't make it just some throwaway action movie.

Seems like this will happen with Daisy as long as they can figure out the scheduling and avoid conflicts. Hope they can get it done!

I wasn't feeling Daisy Ridley when she was announced for Star Wars. Now I can't stop feeling her.
