I saw the Hindi version of Incredibles, either in a TV broadcast or on home media; I forgot. I personally didn't think Shah Rukh was the best choice because his voice did not match that well with the heavy-set character.

Rexy is being violently poked about by sharp objects, by these men. She must be in so much pain and feeling helpless here -

So like what makes y'all watch movies in Hindi when you can watch it in English? Am I missing the appeal here?

Nah, not missing anything. Hollywood movies in India usually have showtimes in the original English audio or dubbed in Hindi (and/or another local language). People either go to whichever language they prefer or whichever showtime is convenient. Nothing more than that.

We used to watch the Hindi dubbed version when we couldn't get tickets to the English version, which only a handful of cinemas used to run and they were always houseful. The dubbed prints I assume were cheaper to distribute since they were made in India itself, while the English prints were loaned from overseas.

However, the dubbing artists literally perform with their voices, not just read the dubbed lines without any emotion. It is that voice performance which I find attractive and go to listen. I respect them as artistes and like to support them when I can by watching a dubbed version after I have seen the English one.

So you're based in India? That would make sense. I only assumed you were either in the UK or Stateside and thought it weird seeking out Hindi dubbed films.

It doesn't matter where we are from. What matters is our plan.

Still 8 weeks out but too much info is being released. Time to take my fingers off the mouse and stop clicking on anything.

First 5 minutes of Fallen Kingdom Shown at Cinema-con...

[Show spoiler]
Quote:
A small submarine enters the underwater depths of the park at Isla Nublar. They saw off some bone from a dead dinosaur, and it floats up and hits that toothy killer whale beast’s bottom from the first movie. Then, there’s another researcher in the park who gets chased by the T-Rex in the night. The gentleman grabs onto the ladder of a helicopter which the T-Rex tries to pull down. The beast does not, but that killer whale has the final chomp in the end. Later in the trailer, we see that whale actually make it to the beach where folks are, of course, surfing.”

Confirmed: No IMAX aspect ratio expansion for JW2!

Peter Sciretta:"You talked about the filming in scope, and all these movies, or I think the last two, were in IMAX. So I assume this is going to be in IMAX. Are you gonna expand or is that like you want it to just be that scope?

Bayona: I think there’s been some conversation about it. The idea would be to keep the aspect ratio. I mean, this is what they’ve been doing with the Star Wars movies. I think when you design a film, when you design a shot, it’s kind of like going against the film if you change the aspect ratio."

http://www.slashfilm.com/j-a-bayona-interview/3/

Bayona's compositions are, of course, very good, as seen in the trailers. It just feels like a very different Jurassic movie. That's not a bad thing.
Perhaps Colin will finally utilise IMAX film for Jurassic World 3. Hopefully, we'll get to see dinosaurs in their real-life sizes, which only a 15-perf IMAX screen can show.

If ever there was a movie where aspect ratio were important, it’s the Jurassic movies. Don’t squish the dino’s size!

Am gutted with the ‘cropped’ ratio of this movie and will always have a degree of dislike over it, but am more than willing to give it a fair chance....it might not be as bad as am expect(personally find it distracting seeing persistent heads cut off/vanish half into black bars...there is no need for black bars on top/bottom of screens. You’d be surprised how many tops of heads needn’t be cut short if the black bars weren’t used for shot framing and ‘artistic’ astetic. The wider ratios just seem to highlight what ‘could’ fit on the screen but has been electively cut short - all my eyes are drawn too is the black cutting into the foreheads)

End of rant :
