Listening to this (Justice) now. The bass is obviously the calling card here, and sounds amazing, but to my ears, the whole thing sounds better. Vocals are clearer, guitars have a better definition between parts, instead of the guitar sludge it's always sounded like. Even Lars' patented flat drum sound seems a bit... crisper, I guess is the word I'm searching for.

Muted the tv & cranked this up to take my mind off the Cardinals meltdown (17-4

) On the second listen now, subwoofer is kicking so hard I'm surprised I haven't disturbed the neighbors.

Pain in the ass to buy CDs. Wanted to get the new Voivod but no luck. Guess Apple Music will suffice until I can buy it locally. Or, at a show

Just finished my second listen to Voivod’s new album. JackLordsHair is right, this is a truly fantastic album. Seems to me like one that is really good on initial listens, but will grow over time as well.

Just got my copy from CM distro today not sure I will ever order from them again though because they sent it from Albany to Detroit back to central PA where i live, it took over a week to reach me but they charged me 5$ what a rip off ! This album is right up there with Killing Technology, Dimension Hatross, Nothingface and the Outer Limits just stellar !

A few new additions to the collection the last few weeks are: Saxon reissues, Denim and Leather, and Strong Arm of the Law, Tomb Mold - Manor of Infinite Forms, Alkaloid - Liquid Anatomy (this is an amazing technical prog/death album !!), Ghastly -Death Velour, Hooded Menace - Effigies of Evil and Darkness Drips Forth, and the 40th anniversary Super Deluxe reissue of Rush's - A Farewell to Kings (a stunningly beautiful reissue for one of the most classic prog/hard rock albums to ever be recorded !!!!!)

Ah. Canadian here but I did find a copy at Sunrise Records. Along with Celtic Frost: Morbid Tales (Digibook Remaster).

Such a bummer... I used to listen to The Fall of Ideals and This Darkened Heart all the time. Classic metalcore. RIP.

I think that’s the only two of their releases that I own and they’re both great.
Dude was a ripper and will be missed.
His style of playing complemented Phil Labonte’s voice perfectly.

I got tickets for Municipal Waste with High on Fire and Toxic Holocaust — the show is next month.

I’m not real familiar with HOF, I bought the new CD and it rocks. I don’t know why I didn’t care for them much before. I think I was in a mood the first time I heard them and didn’t give them a chance. Glad I listened again.

HoF unfortunately have had to cancel the tour. If they were playing locally, I'd just get a refund since I'd have no interest in the other two bands.

I saw them on OCT 26 in Tulsa, OK and the show and setlist was amazing. You are in for a treat.
