See for me I would contact customer service if the item was ripped or something like that, or completely broken, not just for vent corners or something since bent corners wouldn't bother me at all even on a high priced item.
As i said in my inital comment (thats since burried) it was smashed and dented to hell. not to mention the hinge for the left door book was tore from about halfway down all the way to the top. if it had just a dog earred corner i would have let that slide, and not said anything to them.

Same here. Mine is about 50 miles away, and hasn't had an update in 48 hours since "Delayed in Transit", yet the header for my order still says "Expected Today". Not sure how reliable that expectation is.

There apparently WAS a package that WAS shipped in cases like ours, but somehow they're getting misplaced or just stalled for some reason?

It's hilarious - people started complaining about packaging when replying to Bill Hunt's twitter post about the set and the AmazonHelp account is pretending to care. She told one person she'd have a member of the Operations team look into it. Sure.

Any issues I've had on amazon I only use chat and I have not nothing but amazing help from customer service with it
Also with email a few times but I have never called

So my package arrived and it was in a plastic bag and one flap is torn. All my discs are there. I hate Amazon as they don’t care when it comes to shipping. I can’t send it back as it’s sold out. I hope Sony would help fans out as they can see we bought this set.

Get on chat with them about it. I had the same damage, and got a 25% refund for *****ing.

And now I get this from Amazon after radio silence for 2 days:

“Your package may be lost. We’re very sorry your delivery is so late. Although it may still arrive, you can request a refund now.”

Of course I don’t want to hit the “Cancel and get a refund” button because if it’s found I don’t want it actually canceled.

But it looks like I’m not getting it because I’m NOT going to pay a scalper $300 for it. In all my years ordering from Amazon I don’t think I’ve ever had this happen. And why this is happening to so many who ordered this particular item is baffling. And I ordered it on 12/30.

What a sh*tshow of a release.

I ordered from Amazon US to me in Spain (the European release has no light up box, no slipcovers for the cases and no digital codes and is nearly double the price!). It arrived a couple of hours ago - I was dreading the packaging situation, but was happy to see it arrived in a sturdy Amazon box with air filled bags inside. Perfect condition and also no duplicated discs, all correct (phew!). I don't think I could go through the hassle of sending it back to the US, etc. One thing for those people where everything worked out....what is the little cardboard slider thing on the top of the box set? It doesn´t seem to do anything it just slides out....

I got my set from Amazon last night. Arrived in a box with minimal damage aside from a tiny crease on the right side when you open the trap. I also have all the right discs too and the light works so I guess I was one of the lucky ones.

Deep discount order turned up today, sent in a proper box with air cushions (always only on one side, it's literally better than nothing though!). Seems to be in perfick condition on the outside, but what's it like inside? *takes deep breath*

And it's all there! There's a tiny little split at the bottom of the special features digipak and the slips for all three movies have the same bit of wear to the bottom left corner, but the discs are present and correct, no duplicates, AND the UHD discs are all pristine, no fingerprints or scratches. It lights up too, no rattly batteries here. For £76 I could not be happier right now!

Oh, in case anyone wants some early technical info (I know it hasn't been two weeks yet, but **** it): the first two movies are now on triple layer UHD100 discs. Will submit the disc specs to the database now. [edit] or I would I could, but I can't. The fields are locked.

Anyhoo you get these discs:

Ghostbusters UHD - UHD100
Ghostbusters BD - BD50

Ghostbusters II UHD - UHD100
Ghostbusters II BD - BD50

Ghostbusters Afterlife UHD - UHD66
Ghostbusters Afterlife BD - BD50

Bonus disc 1 - BD50
Bonus disc 2 - BD25
