True. Halloween is Michael Myers and Michael Myers is Halloween. The audience would no more accept a Halloween film without him than they would accept a Texas Chainsaw Massacre film without Leatherface.

But on its release it was hated cause it didn't have MM. it might be a good movie. But not what people think is a Halloween movie when they associate that.

But Season of the Witch doesn't take place in the same universe. Then again, continuity doesn't matter when it comes to the Halloween franchise.

Season of the Witch is awesome. Very nicely shot film. It looks similar to the first two, obviously because of Cundey’s cinematography and Carpenter’s influence. It’s more stylish than anything that came after and it has one of the best horror scores of all time.

I still like the idea of anthology Halloween films. Or maybe a Netflix series. They could take place in Santa Mira or Haddonfield or Russellville, where Charlie Bowles murdered his family.

A lot of people thought there wasn’t gonna be a second trailer but why wouldn’t there be? The Nun is the perfect movie for a new trailer for this.

There never wasn’t a second trailer for The Nun so it’s possible this won’t have one either.

Is this a new tactic for Warner? Just release one trailer/teaser and the rest are just TV spots, etc?

The Meg, The Nun and Crazy Rich Asians did this. Wonder if the same will happen for A Star is Born.

Seems like it. Forgot CRA only had 1 trailer.

The impressive thing is that the trailer for The Nun was only teaser. Besides a few tv spots highlight some scares, I still have no idea how the movie plays out. We have no idea about Valak's backstory or anything. A lot times trailers will show some of it. Pretty impressive.

I don't think Halloween needs a 2nd one. The first showed plenty.

you know for all the "but it doesn't have michael myers" talk about sequels, part three did make more than part five and only slightly out grossed by parts four and six.

I wouldn't be upset if this was the last movie. I know people who don't care about a quality will be all about more myers, but he will never be scary again and he's basically a low rent jason.
