Insidious is actually one of the few horror movies in later time that actually scared me a little (mostly due to the lfe track). Not that stupid handycam recorded stuff.

Yes it has a lot of the LFE jump-scare parts. There are so many bad horror movies coming out these days that I rarely check them out, but I really enjoyed Insidious.

Other than Insidious, Let the Right One in and Let Me In, I haven't really enjoyed any horror movies from the last 20 years.

I enjoyed Let Me In also. More of a love story really but a great script.

I actually liked the remake better. Blasphemy i know but there's just something about most Scandinavian films that makes me want too yawn uncontrollably despite being brilliant films. I guess it's the social realistic drama.

I really like both of them equally.

The original is the better film overall. I just didn't like the creepy white haired kid.

Did a workout doing the weekend for the first time today.. Been working out in the gym for almost half a year now. So im not quite there yet but working on it. Dropped the early weightlifting routine and went with only Cardio training since i need too lose about 10kg more. Im at about 93kg now (181cm).

No update on the projector shipping/tracking yet but i sure do check it a lot.

HT related im watching "How we invented the world". A Discovery feature and after this i'll watch some X-Files.

I haven't really worked out in years. I do occasionally go for a walk though, and I'm on my feet non-stop at my job.

Even if I'm only waiting on a BD, I check the tracking many times a day. If I was waiting on a projector, I would probably check it almost constantly.

I love The X-Files. It's probably my all time favorite tv show, besides maybe Game of Thrones, but I haven't watched any in a long time. I've thought about trying to get it on DVD, but now I hear it is supposedly coming to blu-ray.

Taking a small walk and just getting some fresh air can really do wonders for ones mood. Phil knew this.

Yes i've heard the same about X-Files on Blu in 2013. A pity about the 4:3 format on the first 4 seasons which i actually find to be the most exciting of the show. But if they can do the same for X-Files that they are doing for the Star Trek shows that still would be something to get excited over. Long overdue also.

I just started on the first season on dvd. I do however have the advantage of being able too stretch or zoom the 4:3 image too my 16:9 LCD with the Duo making it all more bearable.

Walk on home boy.

I found this about the aspect ratio on the first four seasons of The X-Files:

"John Bartley, ASC, the cinematographer on the first few seasons, says the show was composed for the standard TV aspect ratio of 4:3 but that they "protected for 16:9" (in other words, they got all the key action in the 4:3 standard TV frame, but the show was actually shot in widescreen -- the 4:3 image was cropped from the widescreen negative, in post production). That means that the shows actually exist in widescreen, and so could possibly be remastered and released in 16:9."

I'm not really cool with them cropping it down to 16x9, but I would be really happy if they could just open the matte up to 16x9.

The master should hold the 16:9 format then. Unsure why they would go with 4:3. Well we'll see what they decide to do.

Have a nice relaxing night Joe.

Anyone interested in a good old fashioned rant?

I ordered the Optimum U.K. version of T2 on October 24th from Zoverstocks on Amazon.uk. It had a delivery estimate of October 31st~November 9th. After giving it some extra time to arrive, I finally contacted them on November 17th to let them know that I never received it, and they refunded my money. After 33 days I finally received the package, although the packaging was filthy and ripped up, but the BD case was in reasonably good shape and the disc was fine.

Trying to be a decent honest person, I contacted them to let them know that I finally received it weeks later than I should have and in pretty bad shape, but that I was just glad to finally have it. They responded that I should immediately contact Amazon.uk to send full payment or directly mail them a check, or immediately return the package to them. I responded with this:

"So after I have had to contact you three times now, after waiting 33 days for my order to arrive several weeks later than expected, and it arrived in a very dirty ripped up package, you expect me to go out of my way to contact Amazon to retake the full payment amount for this item? This seems like a lot of work for me to have to go through, after receiving some very poor quality customer service.

I realise that this was probably not your company's fault, and was more than likely the fault of the postal service, but it wasn't my fault either. I have ordered hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of blu-rays from Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, and various sellers on these sites over the last few years, and this is the most trouble I have ever had to go through to simply pay for and receive a movie.

I live in the U.S., and the reason why I order blu-rays from the U.K. is that some movies in your region are of higher quality than what is available here, and I have noticed that often, your company has the best prices on them. I will pay the full price for this movie if that is what you want, but I will probably not order from your company again, if this is the kind of customer service I should expect to receive."

I'm not expecting a handout, but I feel like they have treated me very poorly in dealing with this problem. What do you guys think? Am I being a dick?

Thanks for reading. Rant over. I feel much better now.

How's it going Factor?

Thanks for your comment on my rant. It was only $10.85, so it's really not that big of a deal, but it's more about the principle of the poor way they have handled my problem. Oh well, I've already got the blu-ray, so we'll see how they respond to my message.

What are you up to tonight? I'm just doing laundry and watching tv. I had a Factor-sized work day today , but tomorrow is a short day.

Sorry to hear about your ordeal. Why is it so hard to find decent CS nowadays? I think you handled yourself very professionally. The immediate response is to tell them to f-ck off. Depending on how they reply would determine, for me, if I resubmit payment or not.
