I finally watch this I can't believe people are hyping this entry as one of the best, I guess since last film came out over 10 years years ago, fans were just excited to get new one while general auidence (not that familiar with the series) found meta self-aware slasher refreshing. Outside that the film verges between average to poor, the legacy characters Neve and Courntey look tired and just bored were just props to tick a box, new characters outide Jack Quaid lack any real chemistry or interest all they have is their connections to previous chracters from the franchise.

Anyone know why the UK 4K only came with a 4k disc and not Blu-ray also? This franchise always has and probably always will be treated so poorly when it comes to home releases!

It’s just Paramount’s new normal. The US release is the same. Most of their releases these days are single disc.

just watched this last night with my free trial for SkyShowtime,
and... wow! what a piece of shit movie!

I mean, make it more obvious next time on the poster who the killer is,
of course, nepotism still runs in Hollywood.

they might as well left off the original cast from the poster with
the really limited screen time they had, glad that Neve Campbell left,
because they rather have Billy Loomis daughter in the sequel
who might have her father killing tendencies

And why thank some of the cast of Scream 4 in the credits?
because they're going to be in the sequel?
sure as shit didn't seen them in this 1.

Because several actors from throughout the series contributed their voice to that first scene of Wes' memorial. When all the guests make that toast "To Wes," the voices actually heard are basically every former cast member of the franchise that was available.

How come this never got a poll? I'd give it 3 stars, it's an OK movie but the weakest in the series for me.
[Show spoiler]It irks me than in true Star Wars fashion, the main trio couldn't reunite on screen before Dewey got the Han Solo treatment.

Agreed.
Didn't heard them, then again, they don't have a very recognizable voice.

Still wondering how "nepotism" is relevant to this movie...

I don't know for sure what OP was on about, but I have seen some comments about Jack Quaid being a nepotism baby lately. Just the usual whiny fanboys popping up every now and then to belittle someone else's success or explain away why they don't personally like someone. Since neither Dennis Quaid nor Meg Ryan have anything to do with the Scream franchise, I'd say his argument is irrelevant, but that's just me.

I mean, they don't have to be part of the franchise for them to pay the studio to let their kid be in the film.

Just my two cents, don't really have a horse in this race.

I don't think Quaid's casting was an example of Hollywood nepotism. I actually had no idea who he was until his name came up at the end. Will Smith's kids on the other hand...

So, adult children of actors aren't allowed to follow in their parent's footsteps? Is it all of a sudden illegal now?

No one seems to complain about Wyatt Russell so i'm not sure why jack Quaid is getting stick.

let's not forget, nepotism gave us Michael Douglas, one of the best movie stars ever IMO.
