If your talking about me, I don't see how that's a spoiler. If you haven't seen the film, you have absolutely have no idea what I'm talking about plus what I posted doesn't say anything about the story or what the scene means/what the point is or who's in it (but if you watch the trailer, you can probably guess who's in it. Actually they show part of the scene in the trailer....). I didnt even describe the scene.... If it was actually a spoiler I'd put it in spoiler tags, but it's not.

Was just talking in general. You know when someones refering to something which is in the trailer, then it kin d of escalates.Know what I'm saying?Your reference-like you say-is ok,but afraid it is going out of control.

Maybe just don't read post in this thread until I view the movie. . . .

Wow. 97% on RT, and The Social Network tops the box office. I think this is a definite Best Picture nominee for the Oscars.

I'm not a fan of facebook and I rarely use it but this movie was spectacular. It's David Fincher for god's sake!

The film is about so much more than facebook. Most people I know who couldn't give a rat's ass about the site and think it's dumb loved the film. It's a film about greed, ambition, betrayal, loyalty, and that desperate desire to connect with each other that drives us all. This film could have been about the founding of any billion dollar company that exploded with popularity and the themes and ideas would have remained.

In any case, I thought the film was a brilliant character study within a even more brilliant study of the times we live in. It examines human frailty while simultaneously saying something about our time in cultural history, and overall it's just a fantastic film that is masterfully shot, brilliantly written, impeccably acted, and gorgeously rendered. Modern filmmaking at it's finest. I can't think of a better film I've seen this year (Inception comes a very close second for me)

I'm glad you liked it.. it obviously did more for you then it did for me.. yea it was an interesting story but thats about it.. its one of those one and done movies.. if you've seen it twice, its twice to many.. if i wanted to check out a story about a billionaire i would read the news paper.. hey thats just me. I am happy you enjoyed it and I'm sure youll be buying it on BD.. so i wont argue with that i love to see BD being sold.. anyways i thought Let Me In was a much better movie for the 10.1.2010 release week.. story was much more interesting to me, scenery was better i really felt the mood of the movie, it drew me in from the first minute on and i didn't want it to end at al,, i didnt feel any of that with Social Network, i kept looking at my phone to see what time it was; if it hit 2 hours yet.. however I did love Garfields acting though, he did an amazing job.. didnt really enjoy Eisenbergs or Timberlakes performance.. Timberlake was better in Alpha Dog then this

I think I woulda found that less annoying if you said "checked my watch" instead of checking your phone. Not sure why, but I'm so much more offended when somebody in a movie theatre checks their phone. Whole other debate but I figured this is not a movie for everyone, I could see where people would get restless.

well i dont like wearing watches, plus if i did it woudl be a little hard to tell the time in a dark theater.. but i didn't check it often just maybe in the beginning and a little towards the end..

I enjoyed it as a movie and the dialogue was so good but it definitely seemed like a biased one sided story. Id like to see a documentary that is more truthful and two sided story.

While I enjoyed the movie, I agree. Especially with how outspoken Mark Zuckerberg was about the movie too.

Just saw this film with some friends and I must say that it was pretty damn good. It was def entertaining and interesting. Andrew Garfield def was the man of the show. Jessie was great also as well as JT but Andrew really stuck out to me.

I say def check this out.

I really don't know what to give this since i just saw it. I will say it is between a 4 & 5 so for know i will say 4.5/5 I def need to sleep on it to let it all sink in.

No pressure, but your decision will most likely sway whether it stays in the 5 star section of my rating thread, or 4.5

I have not seen this, but I have yet to see a bad film by Fincher.

And I would not be at all surprised if he filmed someone reading the phone book and it got nominated for 'Best Picture' and 'Best Director'.

The guy is simply amazing!
