Seriously? That doesn't change the fact that he plays Canadian hockey, which is why he is so skilled. It's in his blood as a true-red Canadian.

EDIT: So, what's the latest on the PSN/PS3 issue? Had to keep this on topic.

Thoughts?
Saw the 'net discussion of this via my Ps3's browser. Checked and my Ps3's date had gone to the 1st March 2000 (this morning). Does it connect to the network? Nope. Haven't even tried playing games since some are claiming that saves are likely to be corrupted.

Hey, I was just giving you some old school trash talk! I love the Canadians! It was a GREAT game!!!

Latest I heard it is a time clock deal that "might" be fixed "soon" or they will just wait a 24 hour cycle and it will reset itself.

The problem is still on going? Should be fixed soon though. I really don't see this as a lasting problem. Hopefully. I want to play more Heavy Rain when I get home.

Anyway, there is apparently a fix coming today or tomorrow as a mandatory update and it will reset the internal clock and make it so the problem never happens again in even non-leap years.

why on earth are people reformatting their hard drives? this obviously is a PS network error that they need to fix on their end.

I just really hope they didn't royally screw the pooch on this one. When the error started occuring I lost my entire Trophy list from Heavy Rain...about 65% through. They better be able to restore this and others who appear to have lost Trophies and game saves in the process.

I am able to watch reg. DVD & Blus on the 60gb, I can connect to the internet, but No PSN and No Netflix. Date and stuff is screwed up. Why are people reformatting??? I was watching the Flash Forward series last night and is pretty cool by the way. They should have given it the right treatment. Another thread for that though.

I would hate for my 60gb to die as well. But............if Sony would send me a rebate to use for the new Slim???? Then all "might" be forgiven.

If it is the 250gb model!!!!

This is from IGN:
PlayStation 3 Suffering From Widespread PSN Error
Many owners left unable to play certain titles tonight due to login error.
by Jim Reilly
February 28, 2010 -

SCEA is looking into widespread reports tonight of PlayStation Network login errors causing many left unable to play games, and even lose trophies, on certain PlayStation 3 consoles.

"We're aware that many of you are having problems connecting to PSN, and yes, we're looking into it," the company said in a statement. "Stay tuned for updates."

Forum members and e-mail tipsters are saying this problem is primarily affecting owners of the older model of the PlayStation 3, and is even causing users to lose trophies previously earned. Many titles, such as Heavy Rain, are also now unplayable due to connection issues with Sony's servers.

One theory points to an issue with the console's internal calendar, which is reportedly resetting pre-slim models to 12/31/1999.

It's unclear at the moment how widespread this issue is.

IGN has contacted SCEA for additional updates on what's causing these errors.

Update: Sony has confirmed that slim PS3s (the 120/250 GB models) appear to be unaffected.

Update 2: According to Sony's US PlayStation blog, the company has "narrowed down the issue and have engineers working to restore service even as you read this." However, despite more calls to Sony there's no indication on the time it'll take to fix – or indeed what the fix will be. More updates the instant we get them.

If it is the 250gb model!!!!
Only if it's a special model with four USB ports, PS2 BC, card readers, SACD. I already have a 500GB HDD in mine.
