all you get with the extended cut is an extended scene when Hal looses his father when he was a kid....BOOOOOOORING!!!!!!!!!!!!

and to think I actually liked the movie when I first saw it.....oh boy!! I must of been on crack that day.

I just want to clarify and say that i read on here that there was another version the director wanted to put out that rounded things out a lot more but was told to cut them to meet run time or something.

I don't think that version has been released at all and the extended version is simply the same as the theatrical with a bit more added on.

Initially I was in agreement with this, but while watching Lynn Collins in John Carter all I could think of was that I was watching Wonder Woman.

I'm gonna say it, just cause i think others haven't really said it.

Anybody else think she got a bit of an old womans neck?

I mean, she is beautiful for sure, and got a smokin body but that neck, it just ain't right for a women as young as her.

Apart from that, i still would have if i was on set with her in costume as Deja

I am in agreement. They just need to make the movie while Linda Carter might still play Hippolyta. Rather than when Lynn Collins would play Hippolyta.

They just need to follow the story from the animated Wonder Woman film. It proved that a great WW story can be done. They just need to not make the costume look cheesey.

Yes, that was a good film. At least we got something! My daughter is 7.5 and is currently watching season 3 of WW. She was WW for Hallowe'en when she was 3. She asked my why there aren't many female hero solo movies. I really can't answer that but I do know I'm sick to death of reboots of the males. How many Spidermans, Batmans, Supermans do we fraking NEED? Though I guess they sale.

I'm still excited for the Avengers movie but I was reading an article about how Black Widow MAY get a movie after wards. Right. I believe it when I see it and I'm not too hopeful it will be any good anyway.

At one point Joss Whedon was suppose to do the WW movie. Whoever decided to not use him need to be bound and gaged and made to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer from start to finish. No, we don't want teen angst WW but Whedon can write STRONG women. He was the perfect writer for WW and it never happened.

Lol! Loved your daughter's question and totally agree w/ your post. Another writer/director that writes strong women characters is James Cameron (Terminator, Aliens, Titanic, Avatar). Think Wachowski Brothers (Matrix, V for Vendetta) as well. Also, JJ Abrams (Fringe, Super 8)

I'm really dreading the Superman re-boot (it's got Christopher Nolan producing whose films if you notice female characters are very secondary), and looking at the writer (looked him up on Wikipedia - a David Goyer) seems he has history of films w/ very heavy male lead characters. My worry is w/ Lois Lane! She's so much a part of the Superman story (what makes him tick) that I hope the writing does her character justice and isn't just a pretty love interest face on the screen for a few scenes.

Ok, went a little off topic and don't get me wrong, I love all the superhero movies, but agree w/ you that for WW, they really need a writer that gets all the "complexities" of a female character if you will and who has the vision to explore it.

Jaimie Alexander. She was a popular fan choice the last time casting for the movie was discussed.

Joel Silver didnt like the Whedon take on the character. It's ironic that Whedon couldnt do a DC tent pole and then got picked to make one of Marvels biggest effortd.

She's the right choice at the moment but I don't see WB being serious about getting a Wonder Woman picture off the ground.

Are there any DC female characters that could carry a feature film? I think we might eventually see the likes of Kara or Stargirl but probably not in their own film.
