Madonna: Truth or Dare Blu-ray Review

Truth or Dare to be released on Blu-Ray – Exclusive

We have some exciting and exclusive info to share about Madonna’s Truth or Dare…

Back in February, Miramax announced they had struck a deal with Lionsgate and StudioCanal to distribute over 550 titles from their library on DVD and Blu-ray.

Miramax also owns the rights to Madonna’s 1991 Truth or Dare (aka In Bed with Madonna) and Lionsgate is planning to release a special edition Blu-Ray in January 2012.

All the footage has of course been remastered and the Blu-Ray should also contain some extra footage, which according to our source, sounds promising, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Note that this a tentative release date and subject to change.

There are so many problems in that review, I don't know where to begin. Horribly inaccurate.

I couldnt agree more. Despite what the reviewer thinks, this film is a huge part of pop culture and doesnt deserve such a negative dissection. I can't wait to pick it up.

well, it originally said a lot of things about Fincher directing the live portions, which were incorrect. Plus, there's all the stuff about the new album which is also incorrect. It's funny that he said she's not "front page news" yet the same day it was posted, she was on the cover of the Daily News for their 5 star review. Pretty funny.

I'd much rather see someone release the Blond Ambition tour on Blu. It was shot on film, and I bet it would clean up nicely.

No one knows where the masters are. And it's never been edited. We don't even know if the whole show was shot.

Better off trying to find the masters for Japan. That was actually recorded with one of the first HD video cameras.

How could they lose the master used for the Pioneer LaserDisc?

That wasn't filmed. It was shot on PAL videotape

From what I recall the LD (which was NTSC) was a "hard copy" of what had aired live on HBO the previous summer. I actually had it on VHS (from HBO) and later rented the LD.

Allegedly. Madonna doesn't like revisiting the past, so this excuse just seems easier than denying fans what they really want.
