I wouldn't go so far as to say the fourth film is my favorite entry, but I definitely agree about the racing and I see where you're coming from. For me, the fourth one really reminded me that this is still a cool franchise. The movie itself wasn't great, but it was great to see all the major characters together again for the first time in years and the effort was there.

The fifth and sixth are my favorites. They hit all the right notes as summer action movies, and they further reincorporated more of the established characters and added some new ones like Hobbs that have gone over well. The ending twists to these two films also gives us something to look forward to each time. Not even the Bond franchise does that, except for maybe the ending scenes of Casino Royale and Skyfall (not exactly twists, but definitely glimpses at things to come).

I would have liked more of a return for Eva Mendes after we saw her resurface at the end of Five. I was almost certain she'd be in the sixth, and lo and behold she wasn't. Having Lucas Black return too would be cool.

As for all-new characters,
[Show spoiler]we're already getting Jason Statham from Death Race (also from Universal), so
it would be nice to find other actors with racing-type movie backgrounds. I'm not sure that's at all a necessary prerequisite, but it's a fun place to start. How about someone from Death Proof, like Zoe Bell or Rosario Dawson? Or Angelina Jolie from Gone in 60 Seconds? Or Christina Ricci from Speed Racer? Not sure if any of those ideas work at all...

I would like to see Rinko Kikuchi in the next installment. Thomas Jane could make a good villain also.

Well there is going to be a new movie based on the Need for Speed video games coming out...

Cool, I agree with a lot of points here. The movies did mark themselves as a summer blockbuster icon. And the ending twists added a value and story element. And about the forth movie, When I saw it the second time it was almost like a reboost to the franchise. Not a restart don't get me wrong but it set the main points again. And I hope they do bring in more major action film stars, Angelina Jolie proved she could do it in Wanted, I don't really know the others though. But no Speed Racer People Please

I did see the pre-production bullet points on IMDB. But what game story arc are they planning on adapting? To my memory, the need for speed games didn't really have a sharp story line. One had you racing cross country because you forced to for some reason, and the other was based on a cops and robbers theme. They'd have more story chance incorporating a sharper racing game.

And Tomb Raider, and Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and Salt.

Personally I would like to see Nicolas Cage come into the fray.

I like Nicolas Cage a lot. But could you provide an image of how you think he would fit in the Fast franchise? I cant picture it myself

Hell, no. No Angelina Jolie, please. That would absolutely ruin these movies for me, and I love them, so please, no!

I wouldn't want them to bring any major action stars whatsoever, I'd like them to bring in interesting actors, instead. There are plenty of action stars as it is, they should suffice. It would be more interesting, I think, to see interesting actors joining this franchise. Personally, I loved that they added Luke Evans. Joaquim de Almeida, Shea Whigham and John Ortiz have been great additions as well, so I would love to see more character actors like that.

I would love to see actors such as Dominic West, Michael Wincott and Thekla Reuten playing villains at some point in the future. It would be amazing to have a female lead villain! I would love to say Christopher Eccleston, but in this franchise he would feel to similar to his Raymond Calitri, so I guess he wouldn't be a smart choice, even though he's a beast of an actor!

Sixth wasn't as good as the 5th and 4th. I have my doubts with what they can do with the 7th...

Now that it's officially confirmed that Sun is
[Show spoiler]dead
, I don't know if my heart is in any more sequels. He was my favorite character besides Dom and Brian

Bow Wow confirmed on Twitter that he was back for Fast 7 but quickly deleted the tweet. I guess they want to make an official announcement later in the week. I'll take it Lucas Black will be coming back also.

Great news. Glad to see they're bringing the 'Tokyo Drift' characters into play now.

Hahaha, I never thought I'd get so excited about the possibility of Bow Wow being in a film. Something's wrong with me. I am very excited.

Yep! This is going to be awesome. I hope they bring back Lucas Black, Bow Wow, Nathalie Kelley and hell, even Sonny Chiba while they're at it!

Unless we see these characters eight years after Tokyo Drift, I suppose they will still play 17-year-olds. That's going to be interesting, considering Lucas Black is like 32, isn't he? Eh, maybe they can fix that with some humor... these movies are not exactly meant to be taken seriously anyway!

Well, the Bow Wow conformation = important characters from Tokyo Drift will actually be tied in. At least, that's what I'm excited about. Haha.
