Embargos are starting to become more normal for good games and bad, plus the game has a day 1 patch dropping that enables co-op and the online elements of the game, elements they no doubt want reviewers to try before offering their final thoughts.

In this review climate, I wouldn't be surprised to see statements like "a dark masterpiece, crafted with obvious love and extreme attention-to-detail. Every moment is thrilling, and nothing else on the market can match its chilling atmosphere. But the load screens are bland and the framerate stutters a bit." - 6.5/10

Games are starting to release now at midnight Eastern across the states. So 9:00 PST, 10:00 MST and 11:00 Central.

I couldn't get into the Souls games but man this game looks so cool. I think I will give it a go whenever I see it on sale for the first time at Best Buy, unless that coincides with MKX releasing at which point I'll wait a little longer to get this. Definitely interested in this though despite my indifference to the Souls games.
