The streams I watched last night shows this game is the real deal. Also the difficulty doesn't seem as bad as I thought. You regain most of your life bar back if you attack right after your struck. I saw an epic boss battle that had the comment section going nuts. Graphics also looked really good. Def not a step above last gen, unless we're talking about GOW 3.

Personally I don't care about patches. If a day 1 patch fixes/makes the game better than I'm all for it being handled that way. If a game comes out and needs all these patches that are spread out over months after launch than yeah, a delay should have happened.

Honestly, I don't mind it if they do patch games (especially if they make them better). But, sometimes games that need patches don't get them. Plus, like you said, there have been some that have been patched multiple times after a games release, which shouldn't happen. I know it's not realistic, but hopefully patches don't become super necessary in the future.

Tried to pre-order this from Best Buy's website tonight and was told it's sold out and unavailable for pre-order. This is the standard edition we are talking about. I'm a GCU member and buy ALL my games from Best Buy, and have never been met with a message like this while trying to order a regular edition of any game. I find it hard to believe that this game in particular has received an unusual amount of pre-orders, and am left to conclude that supply from Sony is limited. Considering that "Bloodborne is of the utmost importance to us" as they've recently said, it's pretty ridiculous that they wouldn't be shipping a sufficient supply of games.

My Best Buy stopped taking pre orders in store. But when I went online the next day, I was able to pre order for in store pickup at the same location. Not sure what's going on.

It let's me get all the way to checkout, select payment info etc and when I hit submit it removes it from cart and gives me an "ITEM UNAVAILABLE" instead.

How many times did you try submitting payment info? Can you proceed with any other item at the checkout?


I saw a ton of Pre-order cards.. I pre-ordered in store & at the checkout the guy told me you can't pre-order a game that's two weeks away from release. I thought I'd sneak in & grab any pre-order bonus, ah well.

Has the details on MP been released yet? Is it available from the beginning or do you have to kinda unlock it like in the Souls games? Invite system?

When I was trying to order I tried a few different stores in my area all with the same result. I didn't try and buy any other items tonight though. I've pre-ordered tons of games from their website in the past with no issues. Oh well, I ended up driving to the store and pre-ordering it there without any problems. Either way I will play this on Tuesday!

My copy has shipped from amazon. Strangely the strat guide has not. Maybe it hasnt actually released yet ???

Guide got delayed. A couple of weeks I think. I saw on Reddit that the page count increased by something like 128 pages. Supposedly April 14, but Amazon.com does not even show a date right now.

What's the size of the download? My Amazon.com order got screwed, would not arrive until Friday, so I cancelled and ordered from PS Store. It now shows a 5.04GB main file and a 2.69GB update, but I swear when it first started it indicated a 27GB file.

Afaik ≈ 5Gb is the minimum size required to start playing, but the game itself is indeed 27Gb.
The current patch is 2.7Gb, and there is a rumor of a second day 1 patch coming.

That's what I thought. Going to have to watch the wireless usage for a while. We have a 40GB plan with AT&T. Probably would have taken 40-60 hours to download using our crappy DSL.
