I was rather amused to watch a 1995 episode of The Bill today and find an 11/12 year old Keira in it.

Instantly recognisable, in spite of her age.

I've mentioned this once before, but I credit Keira's turn in Pride & Prejudice with opening me up to a lot of films that I previously wouldn't have watched. One of the chief reasons the film works so well is because she makes you, as the audience member, fall head over heels in love with Elizabeth (while Matthew MacFadyen takes care of the other end of the romance by endearing himself wonderfully as Mr. Darcy). P&P led me to Joe Wright's next film with Keira - Atonement - and I subsequently expanded my cinematic horizons greatly.

It's been a bit of a shame that she hasn't had anything come out in at least a year (understandable with her newborn), but looking at IMDB, it looks like she's busy again over the next couple years. Fortunate news for us moviegoers.

And the only knock on Keira is that she has the body of a 10-year old boy. Now I'm not suggesting that she go out and get breast implants but she could use a little more upstairs
