Very sorry to hear that. I get an occasional video drop out on the special features or my recorded DVD-Rs. Not often but when they happen they come and go in spurts. Question. Do you see any 2D content at all, like the Sony menu in 2D if you do not have a disc inserted? Did you also try hooking it up to your cable box? That's also in 2D. That it happened with two darbee units does appear strange. Can understand your frustrations. See if it passes through a 2D picture via the cable box. Now I know this is a dumb suggestion and you probably tried it already. Did you try using another HDMI input on your LG? |

Hey Joe, Thanks for chiming in. The Sony BR menu does appear and the hdmi indicator lights up on the Darbee. When a 2D disc is inserted, the hdmi signal is lost, however the audio still comes through. When a 3D disc is inserted, the hdmi "handshake" occurs for a few seconds, and then plays without a hitch. I haven't tried connecting to my cable box, nor have I tried another hdmi tv input. All 3 tv inputs have worked fine in the past with any thing I've hooked up (until now!) Still might give that a try though. Steve |

That the menu shows up and the light appears hopefully is a good sign. But it seems you are getting what I occasionally get when switching to the special features, but not on 3D or for what i recall standard bluray. My Sony tv even says no signal coming through. It doesn't happen often, as mentioned and is an annoyance more than any thing else. Often, pulling my HDMI out of the receiver and putting it back in relieves the problem. So I agree it must be a handshake problem but why is 3D not affected, that is perplexing. Without the darbee, no problems with standard DVD and bluray? Really feel bad for what's going on for you should be enjoying this. Hope you figure out what is causing the signal not to get through to the darbee for it seems its that Rather than the darbee not being able to process the signal. |

How about using the darbee just for cable or satellite? |

Happy new year joe, I don’t regret having bought one. I gave it to my brother who I also gave my plasma to recently and he enjoys it. I haven’t had time to watch cable the last 18 years or so and I have a lot of 3D movies still to unwrap!
Happy viewing. |

Isnt Oppo 203 overdoing things a bit with a 1080p projector? Oppo 203 seems the player you would want with 4K HDR ready TV

Yea for Oled it not gonna do anything than make ut look unnatural because Oled is at good as it gets, only for midrange projectors or TVs it will do much better.

I use my Darbee for 3D almost always and sometimes for regular Blu Ray on my OLED.
I use a setting of around 30 something for 2D and around 60 for 3D. After doing many tests, I found it really adds a pop to the 3D. I wouldn't watch 3D without it. Darbee's can also be very sensitive to what cable you use and the length. The manufacturer recommends 2m length and I would get Audioquest or maybe Monoprice for better stability. I also upgraded the power adapter/wall plug-in as some are known to have problems in that area as well. |

Hmm, well if its a good cable I would think it should make it. (Supra, higher end Audioquest, certified HDMI cables).
I think the cables below 2m and 1m are where others were having the most issues. I haven't tried that long of a cable, but I would guess that's pushing it. |
