Wow, there are some great deals there. Just ordered Holy Mountain and El Topo for $14 each new. Cheapest I have ever seen for these titles. And preordered Bride of Reanimator for $20 while it sells for $40 at Amazon!

A question about pre-owned blurays. Are they in like new condition and complete with insert and cover?

The one I had was in like new condition but no insert, I don't think it came with one originally anyway.

I think it depends on what they get traded in with. If the person just trades in the item with disc and case then that's all you will get. However I do imagine most discs will be like new and scratch free.

Whew; was away for a few days and there's a lot to catch up on. Here goes;

One had already shipped early in a mailer. One has a new release date (even though Amazon has had it in stock since the original release date). But, I was told that they'd put a note on my order to ship the rest in a box. They arrived today - 4 blu-rays stuffed in an envelope. I'm not sure even Amazon has tried that one yet. At least the outer blu-rays offer protection to the ones in the middle, I guess.

Just noticed that one of the items even has a hole in the spine of the slipcase. Geeze....
This is unacceptable and I'm sorry. Someone will be following up with those responsible for shipping that order because I'd be a little upset too.

I don't know a ton about cyber security either but I know that the folks in the tech area take it very seriously. The fraud checks on the website are pretty aggressive. We haven't had any problems yet; and I don't expect that we will.

I have no idea when I'll receive any of them. I was hoping to get them all by tuesday at the latest.

Hours was late as well.
That's the distro again. We didn't receive 90%+ of our orders on Friday (we got 6 -SIX!- season 1s and that's it). There were a few other releases as well that didn't come in. Very frustrating because of the shipping holiday tomorrow. We tried to get backup from a secondary warehouse and they were completely out. I hate to make excuse because regardless of who dropped the ball (the distro in this case) it doesn't change the fact that you (and others) are the ones that lose out. So I'm sorry for that.

This October has been challenging between late arrivals to us and vendor allocations.

Preorder pricing has been entered for this. Looks like you all beat us to the punch on ths one.

Good observation! The reason for that is that items are loaded into the database automatically; and then the sale pricing is added manually after buyer review. So sometimes (and increasingly more often) folks are searching up and ordering titles before we can review them.

The artwork, case, and disc are always in NM/M condition; but the extra stuff (slips, inserts, digital copy) aren't guaranteed unfortunately. As another user pointed out it's dependent on how they are traded in.

Waxwork 1 & 2 double feature is unavailable. Any chance you guys can get more, so I can place an preorder for it?

I'll definitely be getting that Creepshow 2 limited edition for that $24.97 price. Very nice.

I waited long enough for Amazon to get down to Bullmoose's price, so now I've cancelled my Amazon order of Marx Brothers Silver Screen Collection and placed it with Bullmoose. I'm curious to see what this will be like, having read a lot of previous posters' experiences.

I don't really like Bull Moose's order status format.

First of all, there does not appear to be any "cancel button" or any way to cancel an order that I could find. I scoured the website looking for one, but couldn't find it.

Then I sent them an email requesting cancellation and received a reply saying the item had already shipped...even though it says the item has been packaged but not shipped on the website.

And I received an email order update yesterday saying the item had been packaged, but wouldn't go out until the next shipment.

So why can't it be cancelled?

It was already processed for shipping, as in already packaged and ready to go. It can't be cancelled at that point.

Per the FAQ at BullMoose:
Quote:
14. How can I cancel an order?

Please email our web customer service to request cancellations of any kind. Please allow 24 hours for cancellation to be processed. A confirmation will be sent to you upon the order's cancellation. Orders can not be cancelled if they have already been processed for shipping.

So I just discovered Bull Moose and so far I am not enjoying the discovery.

I want to order the new Shout Factory versions of The Thing and Carrie (two of my most beloved films) and I feel like I've been playing musical chairs on the site.

First, Carrie was available, but the Thing was not. Now, it's reversed and Carrie is finally available but The Thing is only available in stores!

What gives?

Is this normally how Bull Moose is? This wild goose chase of trying to find both online (or either of them in a B&M store) is getting tiresome.

No. they have a bit more of a limited stock than everyone else. they order more when they can.
It keeps their cost down, which keeps our cost down.

Yeah I wanted to place an order for The Thing and Carrie as well, but I want to put them together for free shipping. Any idea when The Thing may come back?

Yeah, I guess. Just would've been nice to order what I want on the disc's street date.

Suppose I'll order Carrie for now and eat the shipping punishment. Still a better price than Amazon.

Not a bad idea! I think I'll give it a shot! Thanks!

I agree that the webstore is lacking in 'self service' options (the ability to cancel an order being a big one)

The Thing is another challenge (similar to the Stephen King reissues from last week) where our initial allocation was strong; but then the distro was dried up when we went to reorder. This is usually atypical but has been happening more frequently with SHOUT and Arrow titles. My suspicion is that a there is a big player in the market who is just buying out the entire stock on release.

I'm sorry that it feels like a wild goose chase for you. We'll continue to fight to get restocks on The Thing (but at least Carrie and Hills Have Eyes both look like they'll remain solid; at least for now)

We do have a slightly more limited stock than the Best Buy, B&N, & Amazon but we're starting to ramp up. Honestly; the fact that folks on this forum are discussing us is starting to move the needle in a positive direction. If that can be sustained our allocations will likely improve.

I received my order of Carrie and Glengarry today and I just want to take the time to give Bull Moose some props for the great service.

The price was right.

The customer service response was right.

The delivery time was relatively short.

The slipcover was there.

The condition of both cases was pristine.

...I would happily order from these guys again.
