The Little Matchgirl wasn't made for the Blu release, it was an experimental short ultimately intended for the third Fantasia, which died when Roy passed away.

Yeah, I can't see a 4K doing much if anything to Beast. The color regrade will probably be different. I actually want both versions if the new HDR is going to drastically change color even if it is better.

The reason I want a 4K for Beaty and the Beast is because I'm hopeful they use the superior 3D master. In addition the HDR might darken the film as it should.

Kinda sad about that. I even doubt that the Captain America's films will see a 4k release in the UK. I know they will release them in France, but I'd prefer the UK editions.

Hello all.
The Little Mermaid is my all-time favorite movie, and I have already preordered the 4K Version. Do you think it is possible that Disney will add the Image Galleries in HD this time on the new Blu-Ray disc or will they be available only in the digital versions?

I have tried to buy the digital version here: https://movies.disney.com/the-little-mermaid

But the thing is, I live in Denmark and it seems the only way to get the new version and the extras is if I live in the U.S. with an adress and a valid U.S. credit card.

Is there anyone here who is willing to help me get the image galleries in HD? I'm willing to offer something in return. I'd really appreciate it if there is someone who can help a danish Mermaid-fan.

This is one of, if not my favourite movie so it's infuriating to read how brilliant this anniversary edition is and not be able to buy it anywhere here in the UK.

Am I right in thinking that I could preorder a 4K US copy to import, and the UHD disc itself would be region free and play fine here but I'd be missing out on using the blu ray or download code? That would be better than nothing. I've been holding out for an announcement in this region but it isn't looking likely...

The Blu Ray is not region locked.

Can't wait to get this, though. This is by far my favourite Disney film and it would definitely make it onto a list of my favourite movies of all-time. It came out the year I was born and I watched it nonstop as a kid so it holds a special place for me. Still have my black diamond "Classics" VHS with the penis on the cover.

Along with the news of Dawn of the Dead and now reports that TLM looks amazing in 4K (and is in native 4K), it's been a GREAT start to 2019.

I’m just hoping they’ll announce it last minute for release a month from now (the Australian release is dated for early March)
