@bradnoyes: well...; WW84 has the IMAX ratio on HBO Max, so you never know.

Also, Ann Sarnoff kinda basically confirmed a sequel:

“Will we have a sequel to Dune? If you watch the movie you see how it ends. I think you pretty much know the answer to that,” WarnerMedia Studios and Networks Chair and CEO Ann Sarnoff told Deadline yesterday in a sit-down chat regarding the conglom’s full support of Dune 2."

I mostly just mean the overall quality. Of all the apps I've experienced HBO has always been the worst.

They're just trying to string people along so they show up at the theaters in opening weekend.

Nothing is official until an official announcement is made.

There might be a digital-only version where you can see it in that way, when the film goes to digital VOD after HBO Max and theatrical runs out.
