Those scratches look nasty but consistent with many Shout releases. Where did you originally purchase it from? I would replace it. Even if it plays fine in your player, it doesn’t mean it won’t have playback issues in a different one.

This is my 4K of Paranorman from Shout btw. Is it worth it to ask for a replacement?
It reads fine in my player, but I haven't gotten the chance to watch the full movie yet.
I've just heard that sometimes your replacement is in even worse condition, so I wonder if its even worth the headache.

Send an email to info@shoutfactory.com including that picture, your order #, which disc needs to be replaced, and your mailing address.

In my experience, Shout has been pretty good about replacing scratched discs. If for some reason they do say no, well, then you are where you are right now anyway.

Might take them a few days to reply, especially considering it is a holiday weekend.

I've only recently started to really look at my discs and noticed something with the recent Fright Night and Ghostbusters 1 & 2 re-issued 4Ks. The pictures are of my GB2 4k disc, it's very hard to capture at an angle, but it looks like a pebble sized dent in the disc. It didn't affect playback but I'm concerned that it may get worse. I didn't get pictures of the Fright Night disc, but it was worse, and the replacement had the exact same thing. Any idea what's happening here? Or is this normal and I just haven't noticed before?

it’s in the non readable part of the disc , won’t affect playback.

got my The Exorcist 4k british pressing from technicolor europe [ifpi UG ) -the 4k discs are immaculate but the blu ray is scratched , i notice that the clear coat is very susceptible to scratches as i had some dust on my microfibre cloth and that speckle of dust introduced new scratches . i think they’re skimping on the quality of clear coat .

i buy many many PS4 games in australia second hand just for the cases . it’s amazing that these discs (ifpi 65 sony australia, IFPI 94 sony europe) aren’t scratched despite being handled by delinquent teens

Scratches that precise and regular have surely been put on during some kind of machining. Contrast and compare with the Freddie Krueger claw scratches that appear at the edges of discs. There seems to be two things going on at the Mexican plant causing these scratches, one mechanised in some way, one human, and neither caught by QC - if it exists at all.

Ordered Army of Darkness and was really worried I would get scratched discs considering it's a big set. I hate being right!
3/4 discs scratched.

Oy. After receiving my Shocktober order last week...never again. Four items and every single one had at least on scratched disc. Hopefully my Army of Darkness fares better (without resorting to multiple Amazon exchanges).

Keeping my fingers crossed for you, man.

Not surprised at all by this. Did you reach out to Shout? They like to give people the run around but because you ordered direct hopefully they send you new discs without any fuss.

Didn't even try. I can't handle a whole lot of stress anymore, and having to go through the whole 'treat the customer like a felon' exchange process with Shout just isn't worth it.
