How stellar is the audio during musical and busy scenes? And which disc is used, US or elsewhere?
Just by the numbers, audio bitrate is concerning. 2Mbps for 5.1? ��. I know it looks like a lot compared to a 2ch mp3, but during very quiet scenes, DTS doesn't get compressed very low as one would think. Kbps could be saved for busy scenes.

Lossless is lossless. Also it's one disc for all territories, notice the two French (Canadian and Parisian) and Spanish (Castilian and Latin American) tracks.

Also mildly curious how WB handled and upscaled all those old SD extras. As far as I know this (and The Departed I guess) are their first releases where they had to port legacy bonus features to the 4K.

They are 16 bit as opposed to 24 bit so that might make a small difference. Contagion was 16 bit as well, which resulted in slightly lower bitrates even though the previous Blu Ray release had 24 bit audio with higher bitrates. Contagion was a weird choice but as for Ocean’s, it’s kind of interesting to think that we have never heard lossless audio for these movies at home. Every single way of watching this movie (not in theaters) has always had lossy audio so I’m just happy to finally get some type of lossless option. There’s some great potential to take advantage of that in these films. Looking forward to this one.

Paramount and Uni have done a decent job with their old SD extras on 4K thus far, even Disnee did a great job with all that legacy stuff on the Camerons (albeit on Blu and not necessarily upscaled), so hopefully Warners won't drop the ball.

Well I made a mistake, they've already done it with The Fugitive before.
WB do have a history of re-using those crappy windowboxed SD extras from the DVD era over and over.
I mean, it wasn't $9 when it came out. This will go on sale too. Also niche market getting more niche.
I believe I did purchase it around the time it came out. However, these three packs came out long after the original trilogy set in the big box. The TMNT and Austin Powers ones were both cheap as well.
My set of 3 steelbooks has just shipped from Zavvi, so I'm now at the mercy of the British postal service. Looking forward to giving these a spin next week.
Looks like more grain managed crap from Warner Bros. but I'm willing to bet this is going to be making the "Best of the Year!" rounds from all the youtubers. I'm guessing this will be 5 out of 5 on blu-ray.com too. I still can't figure out how to link to the exact time, but goto the end around 7:30, it's obvious.

Can you give me a few examples of this trend from them? Honest question because every WB catalog title I'm thinking of doesn't have that issue except the LotR movies, which is all on PJ. I could have just missed it though, I don't watch everything super quickly.
