Raising Cain Arrow : Average Bitrate 29979 kbps / 30002 kbps ( Re-Cut )
Raising Cain Shout : Average Bitrate 35000 kbps on both... Am I missing something here ? ![]() |

Yeah they should do. Arrow are really good to deal with as a customer, you'll get the cash back and I've no doubt the points as well.
Only thing I'd be mindful of is if you used points in the sale and they're doubled. I think you'd just get back the original value....which seems obvious to me. |

Don't recall anyone having issues with the SF releases quality and that's not always the case. Could be theirs is better then Arrows

I don't mind the bitrate as much as that Arrow's appears to be much brighter than the Shout, but darker than the DVD. I don't know which is more accurate. I have the Arrow version preordered, but I am not sure what I want to do now. If anyone can save me the trouble, how do the extras compare beteeen the two releases?

They've just posted on Facebook that The Thing will be coming later this year.

If they manage something, great, but just duplicating the SF would make a lot of people very happy - remember the majority of buyers aren't region free (the fools!)

Mostly picture-related. SF is from an IP which has baked in ringing along with digital sharpening artifacts and purple homogenization issues. If Arrow are able to do a new scan from the negative then that should remedy all issues with the SF disc and give us the definitive presentation.

Have Arrow been able to restore any Universal titles aside from The 'Burbs? Hopefully they're able to go one step better than Scream with The Thing.
Moreover, if Universal are willing to licence out The Thing over here, I'm quite certain they'd be willing to play ball on Candyman (Arrow's previous dealings with Clive Barker would surely help), The Running Man and maybe even American Werewolf in London. |
