I'm not sure if the BU OOP list is up to date... for example, isn't Two Evil Eyes and City of the Living Dead coming from Scorpion and Code Red? Yet, they're not listed as OOP on the BU site.

I try to do a major cleanup of all my large lists every few months. I will look at this one tomorrow.

Sorry HDG, I didn't mean to imply your list isn't up to date. I was referring to the OOP list on the BU website that was referenced earlier.

But, for these titles to be coming, wouldn't that mean Walt and Bill have already purchased the rights, which means BU would not be able to print any more?

However long it takes for Scorpion and CR to actually release it should be due to the production process, not necessarily the rights, as I doubt they would 'announce' either if they didn't have the rights.

Hello Alex,

Thanks for your email. Our website is up to date. Not sure if you're asking about Blu-ray or DVD, as some of the old DVDs did go out-of-print when they were replaced by remastered Special Editions. But if those 3 titles appear "hard to get," it is due to our inventory being moved across the country to the new distributor's warehouse and should be available again soon.

Check the OP, titles are listed by label, and yes, of course it matters. Not all editions are the same.

For example, BU's blu of Bird with the Crystal Plumage has been OOP for a looooong time, and an inferior version from VCI has since been made available as the only option*

*Thankfully that situation will very soon be remedied.

I am very well aware of what the OP is for. But, what I am saying is that many people that post here try to make mountains out of molehills getting people all worked up over a title that may be out of print, and numerous times has been found out they have no clue.

I am also very well aware of the Crystal Plumage situation (I have a copy of the BU version). It is a great film.
