Thumbs up Thor

Excellent.

I went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised to find this film, for the material it covered, pulled off the balances of Thor's god-realm and Earth's reality quite well. I enjoyed the action, and even though other's are saying more of this, less of that, the one thing remains:
People will want to see more of The God Of Thunder. I know I will! My gf also enjoyed!

I also enjoyed
[Show spoiler]Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye cameo!

Can't wait for this Blu-Ray, the audio was simply incredible!

Other than the contrast being a bit to low, I had fun with the REAL D and it wasnt horrible at all.

Maybe its the way the movie was shot because when they were showing the trailer for Pirates... in REAL D the images were bright and awesome! Then for Captain America not so much. I think Pirates for me will be in REAL D but CA will be in 2D

I totally agree with you on Thor and Inc Hulk. I would switch the Iron Man movies around giving the first 4.5.

I was blown away by Thor. I've always like Branagh although his Frankenstein left a lot to be desired (mainly to his own acting). Henry V was great.

The casting was perfect. I think I'm in love with the actress who played Sif.

There were only a couple of moments where the effects seemed underwhelming. Very minor issues. For me, this is the best Marvel comic book movie. Capt America is going to have a hard time topping this.

I give Thor 4.5/5. Its one of Marvel's very movies. Thor has always been one of Marvel's B grade characters and I hated the comics but they did a great job with the movie! Loved it!!!

That felt so tacked on. Unnecessary? No, but it felt like they added it at the very last minute.

Since we're ranking, I'll through in my two cents...

Iron Man - 8.5/10
The Incredible Hulk - 7.5/10
Thor - 7/10
Iron Man 2 - 7/10

All of these are going to be frequent rewatchers for years, and years to come. I read the comics religiously, and love them all, but can't ignore poor filmmaking decisions when I see them.

It may have been, but it didn't feel, "tacked on". Also, the pure geek factor of seeing my favorite Avenger on-screen was good enough for me.
[Show spoiler]Renner is going to be perfect.

Can someone explain
[Show spoiler]what they were looking at in the scene after the credits? Is that someone leading to Capt America or next year's Avengers movie

[Show spoiler]Cosmic Cube. It was an energy source used by Red Skull (probably will be used in CA: First Avenger)...and will be used by Loki in The Avengers. And that's what we call, "Tying it all together.

4/5 easily...Saw it in 2D last night and it was pretty good, had a little bit of everything in it, also the entire cast did a good job with what they were given..the only let down for me was the post credit scene...

to put into context like others have;

The Incredible Hulk 4.75
Thor 4.25
Iron Man 4.25
Iron Man 2 4

Marvel Studios are making the best films in the genre, FOX doesn't even come close IMO.

My rankings:

Incredible Hulk - 5/5
Thor - 4.25/5
Iron Man - 4/5
Iron Man 2 - 4/5

Boy would I love to see an on-screen fight between Thor and the Hulk.

in terms of ranking
The Incredible Hulk - 4.5/5
Iron Man - 4.5/5
Thor - 4.5/5
Iron Man 2 - 3.5/5

my top 3 are all tied. they are all a little different but i think they are all equally great at what they set out to accomplish. Iron Man 2 i enjoy but it could have been a lot better.
