Got to my local mail facility around noon today, will be delivered with tomorrow's mail. 9 days, much faster than I've ever gotten from Royal Mail...AND had a tracking number, which RM does not provide.
I think I'll just set up a chair and table at the end of my driveway waiting for USPS to arrive!
I'm sure that will get the neighbors talking!

You need to wear a Frankenstein mask too. That will guarantee they will talk!

I live in a cul-de-sac, and am pretty good friends with all my surrounding neighbors...trust me, they wouldn't even bat an eye if I did that!

Hey, I could say I was practicing for Halloween!

I should have known better as their deliveries always take 2 weeks or more to get to me. Good luck and hopefully we'll see some movement tonight.
Guess you should no better than to praise dhlga. Most times even when it arrives in the US it takes them almost a full week to finally deliver anything.

Man, it seems like almost everyone who hadn't got their set yet finally got it today. I'm still without one. Mine still says it's in Secacus (Not sure if I've spelled that right). I really hope it comes soon. I know I should have expected a longer wait time since I didn't do fast shipping, and I'm sure I've just grown impatient, but I'm not a fan of how it sat in Croydon for a whole week, and has sat in Secaucus for about 4 to 5 days now. It's aggravating to say the least. Hopefully the tracking is off and I can get it by Friday or Saturday. Anyone else on this thread in a similar situation?

I'm assuming you got the UK set? If so, I have had imports from the UK take up to 3 weeks. Be patient. It will get there.

Yeah, I guess I should have mentioned that. I got the UK coffin set. And I know I'm just impatient. I'll just have to wait. Nothing else I can do. Haha

Rather than deal with Amazon.co.uk customer service and return the set, I'm probably going to just cough up another £11 for the standalone Mummy disc and swap it in.
That sucks. Sorry about that. You should at least try to see what Amazon can do for you before you go and spend another $20 or so on another disc when you could potentially get it fixed and not spend the extra money.

Hmmm.

The only guess I could make about your delivery delay is that larger major cities (New York, Chicago, Los Angeles) get daily shipments due to the large volume mail that passes through their major airports whereas cities in Kansas, Maine, Iowa, etc. get weekly or bi-weekly planes flying in with shipments due to the lesser mail volume and smaller airports. Could also explain why the window date for delivery (two weeks) is so wide since mail doesn't come in a steady, daily flow in your area.

Just a guess, of course.

Geez. That does suck. There is an undeniable randomness about the whole system. I've never been charged duty on imported discs but I think that's basically just luck of the draw.
