After seeing this and Superman, I loved this, but Superman was superior imo, action was more intense and Gunn is just a great director. But this was still really good, happy both succeeded.

I really enjoyed this one. No question the best Fantastic Four movie, but I do believe it needed to be longer. Mostly due to the fact the main plotline kicks up as soon as Silver Surfer arrives and I feel like that was like, almost or roughly 10 minutes in? Only thing it needed was to flesh everything out more. I liked Julia Garner's Silver Surfer, just wished they had her interact with the characters more before her swift exit.

Otherwise, Fantastic Cast, Fantastic aesthetic, just Fantastic.

I also adore the chanting theme associated with her and Galactus.

Everyone is "fanboys" to you, as if their enjoyment of a movie is less
valuable than your consistent negative opinion of almost everything. You need a hug.

Not everyone is a fanboy. A fanboy is one who feels crushed, shattered and devastated when someone else doesn't like what they like and attacks others for not liking it. I will let people determine themselves whether they meet the definition or not. The opposite of a fanboy is a regular sane well-adjusted sensible rational person, who finds differing opinions interesting.

And I don't have a "negative opinion of almost everything" 🤣.

I just got back from it, really enjoyed it. Finally a Fantastic Four movie with actual chemistry between Marvel’s First Family and the scene with
[Show spoiler]Johnny revealing Surfer’s tragic upbringing to her
offered an emotional punch that I was down for. I jokingly was like “looks like you might be getting some metallic bush after all”.

Speaking of Surfer, Julie Garner was easily the best thing in the movie as Surfer. I would say Galactus (who looks amazing BTW), but he’s not in it much, he’s basically to this movie what Darkseid was to JLSC. Julie Garner fills the gap nicely, though.

So yeah, I can proudly say we finally have that good F4 movie and I can finally cleanse those godawful Fox4 movies from my brain.

Your hot takes don't cause the shockwave you think they do.

This was really good. There wasn't much wasted time in this at all. Don't mess with momma.

Lol, did The Incredibles writer get a credit for this? Between the baby and mole man, I felt like I was watching an Incredibles movie, which isn't a bad thing.

There was one story line idea that I hated.
[Show spoiler]Reed's plan to teleport Earth. Why do the hero's in the MCU seemingly have carte blanche and make decisions for everyone?

In the comics, is Silver Surfer always a
[Show spoiler]Benedict Arnold? In two movies, he/she has done the same thing.

Btw, I had to double check to make sure I was in the right theater after the first 4 or 5 trailers. They were all trailers for animated movies. I thought I was about to see the Smurfs movie.

Yes, that’s what happens in the original comic storyline.

It isn't "my" reviews that are of any particular note or interest. But that any non conforming opinions cause fanboys to have meltdowns and start virulently attacking other posters.

Saw it for the second time and this viewing solidified FF as one of my favourite MCU movies. I absolutely loved it.

I've only watched it 3 times but I feel the same way. Especially loved the way Reed Richards is
[Show spoiler]coded autistic.

I don’t have a single FF movie in my collection. They are all crap. I will be buying the 3D/4K when this movie is released.

What I love about the movie is visually it’s a treat and it has genuine stacks and those stakes aren’t undercut by comedy which is my biggest complaint with the regard to the MCU. My favourite MCU avoid this.

It's such an annoying crutch when they do that for characters that aren't that. Got way worse from Infinity War onward. .

Guardians 1 and 2 have comedy during stakes as does Infinity War but those are great movies despite doing this rather than because they do this. The sooner Marvel realises this the better off they will be.
