Actually, the US attach rate exceeded Sony's expectations from a publisher's standpoint. No comment has been made by From Software, that I can recall, regarding sales figures.

They could just as easily make a totally new IP, another King's Field or another Shadow Tower. Though, I would imagine most of their resources are geared towards finishing their next robot game.

Just for sh*** and giggles, after getting the plat, I decided to create a female royalty character. (my main playthroughs was with a male knight). I almost killed Vangaurd (he had about 1/2 inch of life left) , but breezed through 1-1. I wasn't sure if it was because of royalty class itself, or me being much better at the game, or a combo of both, but I was literally cleaning house. I must have died 50 times on 1-1 with my original playthrough, and I killed Phalanx in 1-1, Red Dragon in 1-2 (first tower with soul arrow) without even dying once.

Also, I logged just under 160 hours for platinum, which de-throned FFX as the game I spent the most time on ( I had a game save in the calm lands with 132 hours).

To truly appreciate Demon Souls value per dollar, I took $60 game price and divide it by 160 to get a total of $.37 cents/per hour lmao....What hobby can even come close to the value video games provide lol

A movie ticket + popcorn and a drink will run you about $20. If the movie was 2 1/2 hours long, that would give you a value of $8 per hour--not even remotely close lol

Hotsauce--You don't have DS plat??? C'mon man, you've been giving me so much help, I thought for sure you had it

Also, for anyone else looking at CT, I can also confirm it's a 200 pt scale. I started at PBCT after the Mephestopheles quest, then killed Miralda, Scirvir, Satsuki, Rydell, and Selen (worth +20 towards white each), killed 2 invading BP's (worth +40 towards white each), then killed BP Miralda in my 3rd playthrough again and got the Friend's Ring.

Yea suprisingly I don't. I've played this game so much and I just played for fun and sometimes go for the platinum. Im about 70% of the way. The stones is just what kills it for me. But I will eventually get it, hopefully when I get back. I'll have 2 weeks of work to knock it out. And no problem dood, I try to help the best I can.

I need more pure stones of everything in order to get the upgrade trophies, should I beat the game and start the second play through or is it possible to farm the pure stones in the current world?

It's possible either way. You can get a pure stone every playthrough if you choose but some of them are very rare to get. I would just move on to the next playthrough it honestly doesn't matter what playthrough you're on. But there is no harm on farming stones to upgrade your weapons. I would say if your weapons suck then stay and upgrade now before you move on to the next playthrough and get your ass kicked.

Be sure to farm the geckos in 4-3 every playthrough to get the Pure Darkmoonstone and be sure to pick the Cloudstone chunk from the treasure in 4-3 every playthrough too as they are hard to come by. everything else can be collected and farmed at your leisure......or frustration

Thanks for the info. Is there a good way to approach / kill the geckos ? I usually just charge at them but sometimes they get away. I think I need one more pure Dragonstone to get that trophy.

I use soul ray or the Lava bow is the best because it stuns the gecko and it will flip over onto its back for a few seconds while you hit it again

I use a bow sometimes if they don't see me. It works even better if you have a Thief Ring too. Sometimes I will hit them and they run away, only to come back for me to hit them again.

Also, in that pit in 2-2. I have gone in naked with a bow and took all of the geckos out. You have to be careful and tread slowly around the pit, but you can actually get all of them.

I don't remember what my Dex is/was, but I was using a Sticky Compound Bow +3 or +4 and heavy arrows.

For that Pit in 2-2 all you have to do is run in the middle and use Firestorm or Rage of God or whatever the hell that Miracle is and you'll kill em all in way less time.
