Went for All Night Long and The Intruder, purely on the strengths of Jack Hawkins and Patrick McGoohan

Excellent picks, both of them. The latter one of the highlights of my last year's Network binge.

Didn't have a great experience when ordering Woman In Black last year, but giving them another go, see how it goes.

Went with;

Things to Come
Leon the Pig Farmer
2 Days in New York
Blue Money

Definitely worth a punt at that price. A few titles, such as ODD MAN OUT, have been cheaper before. Was hoping that THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN or JACK THE RIPPER might be included. Still a few gems in there, mind.

Percy's Progress £3.85
Things to Come £4.55
What a crazy world £5.50

I know the first and third are bad but at that price...

For real? Do they have an actual reason for it or is pure double-dipping encouraging nonsense?

Some examples - 2009 and 2019 releases of The Prisoner have differing extras

Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) - barebones Blu-ray, DVD features documentary, commentaries, featurette, BTS footage, galleries, booklet, titles, commercials, film

Man in a Suitcase- interview, film version, PDF material, booklet

I would've liked to order a few sale items but apparently there are no carriers available to my address.

12 items were in my basket. Bit of a pisser

Unless Gateshead is now in tier 6 and full hazmat suit wearing posties are needed.

Well, network's garbage website has charged me twice, but conveniently only sent one confirmation email. Guess I can now have the joy of finding out how disputes are handled with my credit card!

That happened to me last year when their website was having one of its sale meltdowns and Network did refund it fairly quickly.

Yikes, here we go again....

Can my mate Aclea or anyone and everyone who posts around here shed any light on the following titles and whether they are worth picking up or not? I trust you guys more than the IMDB although I'm wondering if this stuff is just too vintage and esoteric for many to have seen them. I'm a big fan of older UK films and television, but I know they are not all gems. Any bouquets or brickbats for the following? Thanks in advance!

I know that Gracie Fields "Comedy" films from the 30's where inexplicably very popular at the time. To most modern tastes they are very poor films, haven't seen this particular one though.

I am thinking of buying "Convoy" myself, because it is the sort of thing usually like, but it would be a blind buy.

I also have my eye on a few and would like to hear some opinions on:

The Intruder
Man on the Run
Passport to Shame
The Card
Escape from Sobibor
Follow Me

The Mind Benders is a good price this time around (a bit cheaper than I paid for it) so would recommend that to anyone interested. Master of None is also really cheap for both series' - again, I highly recommend that for fans of Aziz Ansari (one of the best dramas/sitcoms of recent years). Neruda is a bargain price, think I paid a fiver for it a while ago!

Would go for the Flying Circus sets but think I can wait for a complete box set eventually, and then get that in a sale. I think I still have the DVD set in the loft somewhere...
The Overlanders
Bitter Springs
The Importance of Being Earnest

I plumped for THE SHOUT as a blind buy. Just for its cast and general weirdness.

I ordered The Mind Benders on Tuesday, but it hasn't been dispatched yet. The Altered States style storyline and the always brilliant Dirk Bogarde sounds like a winning combination to me.

That film's very bizarre, but I liked it! John Hurt is one of my absolute favourite actors, and Alan Bates and Susannah York are decent enough too. Anything by Skolimowski is of interest anyway...
