It's possible the content has been corrected.

We watched about the first 12 minutes then dumped as we have with most of Snyder's directed content. Really do like and own Watchmen.

I have not seen it but it is a bit odd.
If it is seen on 1080p and 4k it does not sound like it is the cameras/editing fault.
They also said it played in Cinemas, did people see the issue there as well?

From the little tidbits in the article my first guess would either be an issue with the transfer sent to Netflix or Netflix's AI.

I did not see it (the dead pixels) in theaters. There was an article posted in the main AOTD thread where an article featuring the camera gear ZS used to shoot the film. ZS also acted as cinematographer and B roll camera operator.

The lenses were these Canon Dream lenses that were built in the 1960s. Consumer lenses. They open to a .95, so a really thin depth of field. That creates that thin, dreamlike, out-of-focus (imagery). And the cameras were Red Monstros. … They’re from Red camera. Incredible cameras. I’m going to use them again, whenever I can. They’re just really amazing. So yeah, sophisticated, and this weird combination of super-high tech and super-low tech, and that feels like my wheelhouse. Taking the most high-tech thing and getting it dirty.

I am not one to actively look for flaws in a presentation, but this stuck on bright pixel was beyond obvious on my TV and it lasted for several seconds on each occurrence. It was just a pin prick of stationary unchanging light, but there was no mistaking its presence.

Out of the total runtime of this movie a few seconds of weirdness was certainly tolerable, but I have never seen an anomaly like this watching any content via any source.

I still had silly zombie fun watching this movie.

For us: Lifeforce, The Serpent And The Rainbow and Pride And Prejudice And Zombies and are much better zombie movies. Now that you have Atmos you may want to look into getting the UHD version of Pride And Prejudice And Zombies.

The Serpent And The Rainbow is one of the best Zombie films out there. P&P&Z not so much for me.

The Serpent And The Rainbow is one of my favorites; I first purchased it on laserdisc. I would buy it on 4K in an instant.

My copy of Lifeforce needs upgrading; I noticed that my copy is a DVD.

As for Pride + Prejudice + Zombies, is this worth buying twice just for the Atmos track? I bought it on blu-ray when it was super cheap and I have yet to watch it; it was an impulse buy that has yet to become an impulse watch.

I have 19 movies arriving this week, so I'm done until next month.

Did you check out HBO's Watchmen? That ended up being one of my favorite single season shows I have come across lately.

Pride Prejudice Zombies Atmos track is nothing to write home about. It’s decent but I feel it’s not worth the repurchase I did..

Vilya, if you like zombies, there's an Indian series on Netflix called Betaal. It's pretty awesome and only 4 episodes long.

I do like zombies and I enjoy seeing how they are portrayed in other parts of the world; zombie diversity is a good thing. Thank you for the recommendation.

My top ten

Dawn Of The Dead
28 Days Later
The Serpent And The Rainbow
Shaun Of The Dead
Train To Busan
Zombie Flesh Eaters
28 Weeks Later
Dawn Of The Dead (remake)
Day Of The Dead

I recognise the significance of NOTLD but I just can’t bring myself to put it in the top 10.

From High-Def Digest:

Quote:
The zombies roam free in the outskirts of the In-Between with an excellent, near-reference Dolby Atmos soundtrack that terrifically complements the mix of action-packed visuals and the witty conversations. Similar to its DTS-HD MA counterpart on Blu-ray, for a good chunk of the runtime, the surrounds are employed rather sparingly with many noticeable pockets of silence. But this is arguably understandable, seeing as how the plot and movie is as much dialogue-driven as it is spurred on by one scene of mayhem after another. Still, those action sequences are very satisfying, filling the room with debris flying all around, from the sides and ceiling while convincingly landing in the back. Such moments suck the listener into the middle of the action with excellent directional cues that flawlessly pan from one speaker to the next. Quieter moments come with ambient effects that subtly spread overhead, like crows squawking high above in the sky, flies buzzing all around or the echo of voices resonating with realism. On the whole, the design makes for an immersive and engaging dome-like soundfield.
Pretty much agree.

That's a fine assortment, but Night Of The Living Dead 1968 belongs on every Top 10 zombie movie list.

It took me a moment to realize that Zombie Flesh Eaters is also known as Zombi 2. I guess it is time to upgrade my DVD to the 4K disc. I was surprised to see that this was even available on 4K.

Someday I need to watch this gem:

https://www.amazon.com/Chopper-Chick...1899831&sr=8-1

It is a very early movie (1989) with Billy Bob Thornton. It is another one of my DVD treasures.

I would be untrue to myself if I put it top 10, I enjoyed those films more. I was honestly obsessed with Zombie films growing up. That has its downside as well, for example Zombie Lake!
Having said that, it is comedy Gold with its melting zombie makeup, naked chicks swimming in the most disgusting ‘pond’ ever, decorative tiles visible in underwater shots of the ‘lake’ and a murdered villager respectfully carried to the morgue by a mayor only to be dumped outside with her skirt riding up and knickers exposed to the whole village! WTF?

So, put that next to your watchlist, it’s hilarious.

I have always loved horror and always will.

There was a brief moment when DVDs were new and very expensive and Troma studios had a sale where if you ordered the entire catalog of about 40 films you could get it for under $50 shipped.

Very rude humor but tons of fun if you can stomach it.

I think a few of these are on Amazon Prime (free) now.
