So my Lindemann: Live in Moscow BD/CD finally arrived from Amazon. It had been lost in transit for a bit and Amazon sent me a replacement and then the original arrived, so now I have two. Watched the entire concert in one sitting. It was terrific. I should have seen it last week when it played at my local iPic Theater for one night only. The 5.1 lossless track was phenomenal.
With that being said, the physical release is peculiar. It comes in a hardcover book enclosure but the book is in Russian, with snippets of English and German. The BD has the German 16 rating, so it looks like an import. It played fine on my Sony x8002 player but was reading reviews on Amazon that it's not playing some region A players. Also, there was a big sticker on the shrinkwrap saying the package was "made in Italy." Intercontinental indeed. ![]() |

Oh boy, I just saw this today and I never thought this would really happened on Netflix (or any streaming sites). But 2 Netflix's original TV show will be removed from Netflix. And if you think I'm making this up:
What's on Netflix's article: Netflix original ‘Cooking on High’ & ‘Heavy Rescue: 401’ Leaving Netflix in June 2021 And to show this is not misinformation, I went on Netflix to screenshot and validate the article, and sure enough: ![]() ![]() And yep, it's official, two Netflix original TV shows will no be longer on Netflix at the end of next month. So reading this article and seeing it on Netflix for myself left me worried if Netflix original TV dramas, films, and any exclusive distributed TV shows and films could be gone from Netflix in the near future. I created a topic talking about that on this forum: 2 Netflix original shows will be removed from Netflix Looks like my love-hate with Netflix (& streaming providers in general) has just intensified, now my hate relationship with streaming has just increased more and more after reading that news. Looks like pro-physical media people are going to use Netflix's removal of their 2 original shows to prove that streaming sites can't be trusted to keep their own content forever when it comes to their own original content, and I would agree with these people making these argument. |

I'm aware of that. Heavy Rescue: 401 wasn't a Netflix-created show, but licensed from a 3rd party, I don't know why it was labeled a Netflix series despite the show created by a 3rd party company. But that makes me wonder how long the contract for Netflix's exclusive titles that they don't owned like the 2 old-school anime like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Saint Seiya, or what about the K-drama, Night Light.
But here's the problem: Cooking on High is a Netflix-created original, not a licensed show from another company. So if Netflix can removed one of their own created show from their streaming platform, who's to say that Netflix 2 years from now can removedAway or Sense8 from their platform. It's one thing to see a Netflix-created show to be removed from Netflix, now I worried if Netflix-created TV dramas like Away or Sense8 could get removed from Netflix in the near future. This is why I get worried when I see Cooking on High, a Netflix-created show get removed from Netflix. That leave a impression that Netflix-created show don't stay on Netflix forever eternally. Also it opened the question if any Netflix-created show whether it's a cooking show, or a TV dramas, or any of Netflix documentary can be removed from Netflix in the near future. Quote:
Also, who the hell read the TOS/EULA when they subscribed to Netflix & any other streaming sites? I don't when I subscribed to Disney+ and HBO Max. |

Cooking On High is merely distributed by Netflix; it was made by the production company Stage 13.
Stage 13 is owned by Warner Bros. Digital Networks. Therefore, removing it from Netflix may not have been their decision. The show itself received very bad reviews, which could also be a factor. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8521728...?ref_=tt_dt_co https://www.stage13.com/shows/ ^When you scroll to the very bottom of the web page listing all of their shows, which includes Cooking On High, you will find this small print: "TM & © 2021 WARNER BROS. ENTERTAINMENT INC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED." https://www.stage13.com/2017/08/04/press-release/ https://variety.com/2017/digital/new...ks-1202516192/ https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...ow-on-netflix/ Last edited by Vilya; 05-28-2021 at 04:49 AM. |

Welp, it's time to put some damage in on my CC over at Vinegar Syndrome and build up my erotic BD collection. The new releases don't interest me, so that frees up some funds for the films I'm actually interested in.
Also, just got back from Quiet Place II - and it was badass! If you can make it to the show I highly recommend it. |

Another reason Cooking On High might be leaving Netflix is so that Warner Bros. can put it on their own streaming service. Everyone and their dog now has their own streaming service and they each need to be filled with content.
