Hoping is not a rehash. Listened to VX11 (not everyone's favourite) last night. It had an energy and conviction to it. They lost that around AMOLAD & TFF.
I personally love AMOLAD. It's my second favorite Maiden album after Powerslave.

Can't wait for the new album! Loved the first single and video.

can we ****ing ban this term? It's the stupidest concept I've ever heard of. So let me get this straight, people of one culture like and admire aspects of another culture and choose to incorporate them for themselves. And that's a BAD thing?? What the hell do we think this is, some kind of melting pot??

I'd love to hear him do a Maiden record. At this point, anyone besides Shirley will do.

Glad to hear about the new Maiden cd. I do miss the good old days of Martin Birch.

Post-2000 reunion Maiden has been very successful. I'm sure Steve Harris is thinking "why mess with the formula?"

No 5.1. mix on the blu ray of the maiden album sadly.

Amazon did screw up and list the sliver vinyl version for $16.99 preorder for a little while so I got in on that. Now it’s $60

Since no one else is putting out albums I pre ordered the super deluxe set + red marble vinyl Senjutsu. Also joined the fan club, gonna get against the stage when they tour next year. Only show I’d risk a Covid variant for lol. I can’t stop listening to the new single and video, first rate material after all these years.

In that time each album has sold more than the one before it. They may be more popular now than ever before.

Yngwie is so arrogant in this article it’s hilarious. Critical of almost everyone... here is a sample... He loves Pantera... not

As far as the singing goes, I couldn't find enough words to describe my disgust. It's really not singing. It sounds like somebody is either shoving something up the vocalist's ass, or something is coming out of his ass and mouth at the same time. It's a stupid excuse for being someone who stands in front of a mic stand.

Lol yeah pretty funny coming from a guy who sticks with singers that work for food.

Let's be honest. They only did that because they knew how he'd be.

That's likely due more to the marketing than the music. Beer, comic books and the mobile games.

back in the late 70s, Kiss was the biggest band in the world. They marketed just about anything. When their music started moving too far away from where they began, people stopped buying it.

It doesn't matter what kind of merchandise you have. If the music suffers, people won't buy it. Iron Maiden is making great music. That combined with an incredible live show is why they're as popular as they are.

That’s well put. I saw Maiden in Las Vegas 2018, best concert I’ve ever been too. And the new single is freaking awesome!

They are also one of the biggest world wide because they’re plane gives them the ability to tour places no other big groups can get too.

I was there as well. Ghost were a better opener than the raven age. Met Derek Riggs at Vamp'd earlier that week. Sat on the patio listening to the Iron maidens. It was too packed.

Bummed about Mike Howe...

Best Maiden show for me was in 1988. GnR opened.
