Jurassic World 2 will apparently have some 35mm screening, as per Fandango -

Seeing that the movie has some gorgeous colour grading, I think it'll look really good in film projection, having all the goodness of analogue colour.

If anybody happens to catch a 35mm showing of JW2, will you please report here on your experiences? Thank you. If I had the option, that's how I would've seen the movie. Even digitally shot movies look good on film because the photochemical colour processing creates that organic feel, which is different from the "clean" look of digital.

On Fandango, I think 35mm means standard format. They list standard digital showings of all films as 35mm.

^ Oh. They should just mention 2D then. "35mm" confuses people. It usually stands for the film format. Even though it can also refer to sensor size. But I doubt Fandango had that in mind.

If that’s what Fandango meant that’s ridiculous. 2D is not reflective of being 35mm.

I do sometimes miss the organic feeling of seeing films presented on film. Would have loved to see the 75mm Ready Player One. But got my tickets booked for IMAX 3D which will be excellent.
