Yesterday I picked up.....

Despicable Me (with Slipcover)
and Disney's The Sorcerer's Apprentice (with Slipcover and a unused DMR code!) and yes I know its not the greatest film but the possibility of the unused DMR made me take the chance. Which paid off!

I didn't realize that they were $4.00 each until I was checking out or I would have grabbed a few more. i may stop back in later today.

I got into pawn shop buying when I stumbled upon a local store that had a wall full of $3 blu rays... probably made out over the months that followed with close to 50 titles from that chain of two stores

One other local store put blu rays on sale 5 for 10$ one week

Luckily I have found another store on my way home that is a little more expensive at $4 for general titles and 8-10$ for newer releases, but I have scored when this store takes newer titles out of the case and places them in the general film area... stuff like now you see me, After Earth, WWE Goldberg, Great Gatsby, etc... they have so much piled up in the store it is unreal, just waiting for them to lower the prices a little further... wanted to snag At Earth's End this way, but they were all out of them last time I went in... oh well...

You guys have awesome pawn shops! I thought with Massachusetts being a big state that they'd have a good amount of pawn shops, but I called all over after doing a Google search and pretty much all of them didn't sell any Blu-rays.

Went to one of my local ones here after coming across this thread again, just to see what their prices were like compared to all yours. Pretty reasonable actually, with pretty much most going for $4.99 to $6.99. Their single DVDs were 5 for $8 or $10. A ton of TV series on DVD too at really good prices. And alot of their movies came with slips, with a decent amount still being in their original shrink wrap from the original stores.

All and all, was pretty impressed and will have to post some finds when I head back there soon!

I do almost all of my shopping at pawn shops. 90% of my collection, I got for under $10, at least half for under $6.

Today I only grabbed one, Talladega Nights for $2.

Were these all from the same pawn shop? I'm guessing not since Band of Brothers was way cheaper than all the other movies. $5 is ridiculous for that.
