I went to a bunch of pawn shops in my area today and found some amazing stuff. All blurays all less than 5 dollars.

4 dollar blu-rays

Tower Heist with slip cover 4 dollars
Transformers revenge of fallen with slip cover 4 dollars

4.50 Blu-rays

Any way the reason for my post is I would love to see what other people are able to get at pawn shops and for what prices. If I can figure out how to with my phone ill post a pic.

You should definitely check them out. Its kind of sketchy but most of the time their blu-rays are around 5 dollars and the more you buy the cheaper they get. One of the stores I went to today wanted 10 for blu-rays and the guy said if you buy a lot we can do cheaper so I grabbed ten and said hows 50 sound he said sure. The only thing is the cases arent in the prettiest condition but I just replace them with the case I like best from ebay or best buy and they look brand new for an extra dollar per blu-ray.

O I also got Family guy season 1&2 for 5 dollars
Family guy season 3 for 5 dollars
and American Dad season 1 for 5 dollars.

Yeah, been going to pawn shops for a long time. Have found some crazy deals on Blu-Rays. Among them: Band of Brothers with the tin $15.00. The Bourne Trilogy for $10.00.

This is just luck of the draw though. Prices are obviously NOT set, thus, it's not a "DEAL" that everyone can take advantage of.

All the pawn shops in my area are the exact opposite. They have their blu's priced as much (or more) than like the Used movie/cd stores. It's ridiculous. I'm jealous of you guys that can find such great deals there.

Man I saw Band of brothers with the pacific bonus disc all blu-ray in steel tin for 18 dollars and Im pissed I didnt get it for my collection or to resell. I could have talked them down to 15 easily and they had tru blood season 1 and 2 on blu-ray for 18 I think.

There is one buy me that is doing 6 for 20 right now. 3.33 per blu-ray. needless to say I cleared them out pretty much.

I have gone to probably 15-20 pawn shops in the last 2 months looking around and the best deal was a nintendo wii basically new condition with wii sports and wii resort sports and 15 blurays and the notebook dvd gift set box thing all for 80 bucks. it came out to 2.50 per blu-ray 45 for the wii and games and notebook for free cause we know some one who works there. When he gave me the receipt and I saw 2.50 blu-rays I lost my mind.

I also grabbed Wall-e the 30 to 40 dollar blu-ray one for 3 dollars, and the master and commander digi book for 5 along with the green mile digi book for 5.

When you score at a pawn shop its usually pretty big and exciting.

What??

They sell tvs, computers, phones and everything under the sun that they can buy really cheap and sell really fast. You just have to find the ones with dvds and blu-rays. Like title pawn is just for pawning cars and cash for gold is just for gold. But pawn mart, cash america, blah blah pawn, and pawn shops named like that carry everything.

pawn shops have almost anything you can imagine - jewelry, media, electronics, musical instruments, toys, tools, furniture, collectibles,... anything.

Google your zip code with pawn in the search or something. Once you find one ask them if they know any others close by that sell blu-rays or dvds. Once you find a few they will send you to other ones and if you tell them so and so sent you they might even hook you up.


also dont forget to ask if they have more in back. One place I went to today had like 30 on display and the guy was like you want to see more? My response was you have more? hell yes I do. He went in back and brought out probably 200 more wrapped up in bundles which is where I found the digi books and some other goodies.

I got the single-disc "not for resale" edition of Disney's Bolt 3D at Goodwill for $3 and it was still sealed! I've seen other Blu-rays in thrift stores but they're not usually sealed or that cheap.
