Disappointed. I love all 3 Craig films and would rather have another sooner rather than later.

This pretty much guarantees Craig will only have two more cracks at Bond.

It is disappointing because he has been great as Bond, but that does give him 5 films in the series which is not too shabby.

I agree, but selfishly I have always had 6 in my mind with Craig.

The chances of a 6th are probably less than 10%.

This also really worries me. I felt them starting to dabble in it again in Skyfall. Joking about the ejector seat, guns on the front of an aston martin.

I think its that with the more movies they make, instead of keeping it reeled in, they feel some need to keep going bigger, and thats when things start getting outlandish.

Well he would have 5 total which is plenty, and I think the series will be ready for a reboot anyway after bond 25. That movie probably wont come out til like 2020. Craig is gonna be looking pretty ragged by that point. He isnt aging too well.

I don't consider those elements campy, just serious fun as far as I am concerned.

5 films as Bond is certainly respectable. Some of us will always remember Craig as our favorite Bond. Of course, that's until Bond 26 in 2020 when our new favorite Bond will be:

Humor is as integral to the franchise as megalomaniacal villains, exotic locales, electronic gadgets, and beautiful women. They're all part of the Bond DNA. The best Sean Connery films did a fantastic job striking the right balance between all those elements.

As much as I enjoyed Casino Royale, that movie was far from being the quintessential Bond film. It was almost completely devoid of humor. Skyfall was a step in the right direction. The biggest mistake they could've made was to turn James Bond into a British derivative of Jason Bourne.

While I don't think Casino Royale was almost completely devoid of humor, I do agree that Skyfall was a step in the right direction of striking the right balance of elements that made the Connery films so great.

They did do that. It was called Quantum of Solace.

He isn't on the Internet.

The Internet is like some weird alternate universe where Chris Nolan, Sam Mendes, and JJ Abrams are all considered hacks. And nerd pornographers like Joss Whedon are considered visionary film-makers who make perfect films.

I think that is the last three Bond's films' strongest asset. The Bond films are the best they ever have been because of that.

I strongly disagree. The Bourne franchise is obscenely overrated and guilty of some egregious cinematic sins.

I disagree. Quantum of Solace was arguably the most Bourne-like entry to the Bond franchise. And that movie is widely considered a very mediocre Bond film.

On the other hand, Skyfall was a terrific film --- and it was hardly a Bourne-like movie at all. It was a definitely more of a traditional Bond film than its two predecessors.

I couldn't disagree more. The three Damn Bourne films were excellent in my eyes. Now The Bourne Legacy was pretty damn bad, I'll give you that.

For me, of all the Bond movies, my three favorite have been the Craig ones. I love the realistic and gritty direction they have taken and think they have totally rejuvenated the character. I don't like when they take Bond films and give them too much comedy or campy elements. It totally takes me out of it being an action movie and a spy. That's why I love the new mentality of the Bond films. They are much more serious and grounded with reality.
