It is disappointing because he has been great as Bond, but that does give him 5 films in the series which is not too shabby.

I think its that with the more movies they make, instead of keeping it reeled in, they feel some need to keep going bigger, and thats when things start getting outlandish. |

Well he would have 5 total which is plenty, and I think the series will be ready for a reboot anyway after bond 25. That movie probably wont come out til like 2020. Craig is gonna be looking pretty ragged by that point. He isnt aging too well.

Humor is as integral to the franchise as megalomaniacal villains, exotic locales, electronic gadgets, and beautiful women. They're all part of the Bond DNA. The best Sean Connery films did a fantastic job striking the right balance between all those elements. As much as I enjoyed Casino Royale, that movie was far from being the quintessential Bond film. It was almost completely devoid of humor. Skyfall was a step in the right direction. The biggest mistake they could've made was to turn James Bond into a British derivative of Jason Bourne. |

He isn't on the Internet.
The Internet is like some weird alternate universe where Chris Nolan, Sam Mendes, and JJ Abrams are all considered hacks. And nerd pornographers like Joss Whedon are considered visionary film-makers who make perfect films. |

I disagree. Quantum of Solace was arguably the most Bourne-like entry to the Bond franchise. And that movie is widely considered a very mediocre Bond film. On the other hand, Skyfall was a terrific film --- and it was hardly a Bourne-like movie at all. It was a definitely more of a traditional Bond film than its two predecessors. |
